Well actually, she has no freaking excuse. I remember writing to her about this 'authorities and their blind eye to abuse' issue about 5 yrs ago.
She ignored my letter.
Look, we really have to get this: all UK authorities and media are rotten and corrupt. This isn't just about Jimmy Savile and the BBC.
What about the NHS?
What about the Prison Service?
What about the Police?
What about Social Services?
What about the charities involved?
What about the newspapers?
What about the judiciary?
What about MPs and many others who just stood by in silence when victims tried to report abuse?
It looks like good ole Aunty Beeb has agreed to be the fall guy and take the heat on this one.
But hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of other public servants colluded in covering up Savile's behaviour - just like they cover up so much more abuse involving millions of victims, here and now.
Abuse just cannot happen in a culture of openness, care, honesty and integrity.
