I think the head line in the thread is wrong, not sure what the video says but Fracking and Drilling did cause this to happen. The ground being to soft did in the are from all the flooding and being below sea level. They are tell the oil companies to drill as fast as they can to try and get some of the pressure out of the ground. Out in the sea floor gas and oil is always leaking out from sea floor and has been long before drilling. |

How would you edit the headline for this thread to be more accurate? I just took the one off the video itself. |

Does anyone have any info or links to the contrary? It certainly doesn't look like a military document. Not saying the situation in the gulf isn't a potential (possibly manufactured) disaster. Just trying to find out if this map is the real deal or not. |

Quoting: soldier32 25917730 Most hole are drilled around 4000 to 15000 feet deep. I'd have to agree there, if they had drilled down to magma we would have had a lot more going on then just that oil leak. That was/may be is bad enough. |

Iceland Volcano Drilling Suggests Magma Could Become Source of High-Grade Energy ScienceDaily (Feb. 16, 2011) — Geologists drilling an exploratory geothermal well in 2009 in the Krafla volcano in Iceland encountered a problem they were simply unprepared for: magma (molten rock or lava underground) which flowed unexpectedly into the well at 2.1 kilometers (6,900 ft) depth, forcing the researchers to terminate the drilling.
