So lemme first say, THANK GOD she had the gun to defend herself - and good thinking and advice from her mom.

That said, does anyone think there could potentially be a backlash here? Mom giving her 12 year old permission to use a weapon, the child having access to the weapon, or, going even further, allowing a child with no gun permit to use the gun...

Please don't get me wrong personally - I think she did exactly what she had to do and it saved her life, Thank God... I'm just wondering if down the line a crooked defense team could potentially get her mom somehow in trouble for this. I hope this is a case where rational law beats out the paper law for any gun restriction here.
