I disagree with the theory that they would most likely be "mean" simply because they advanced via evolution. If an alien species developed the ability to travel from their world (or dimension!) to ours, it's very likely that they would've evolved past the petty struggles, jealousies, materialism, bigotry and hunger for power and wealth that has marked so much disaster and suffering in human history.

Yeah I don't believe aliens would have an "ego" since they are in another density.
