Stray Tuxedo

Tuxedo cats are much stronger then other cats my cat would not come in for like 2 winters....make him a little house.

I made him an appointment, lol. I don't think he's gonna make it.
Tuxies are the best.

I adopted a stray tuxedo kitty about this time last year. He is sitting next to me on the couch right now. It was the best thing I ever did. The cat loves me to death and gives my husband and I such joy. We were dog people before, but this cat is as smart and friendly as a dog.

I'm having a hard time with this guy. He's full grown and appears for all of the world to be neutered. I live in the country and that makes no sense. He's not here now. It's raining and I wonder if he's in a barn?????

Also, I have a twelve-year-old tuxedo that I found as a kitten. He is the best cat ever.

Tuxedo cats are the best ones. They are smarter and more affectionate.

Ours waited for me by the back door, injured, skinny and cold last October. I started feeding him and then we decided we would make him ours and took him to the vet to get fixed up and neutered. He has been such a joy. I know the feeling you are going through right now, worrying about that cat. It is the exact same thing I went through last year. You should take him to a vet to check if he is microchipped (mine did it for free), and then put in an announcement with your local animal control that you found a cat. If no one claims him for I think it is 2weeks, then he is yours if you want him.

He's a barn cat, if anything. He's not here tonight.

My boyfriend, who is more attuned, has told me to just let him be. He says, let him visit and go on his way. He says we're on his "route". That he's got it under control.

For me, it seems like he's out in the elements.

C, here is my stray Tux. He came here last winter when it was very cold and I let him inside. He still comes and goes at will and refuses to be totally tamed.

He has a white bib and socks on all 4 feet. I thought he was grown when he first appeared but he kept growing! At first he would get beat up by other cats a lot but not so much any more. He's huge and prolly weighs well over 15 pounds.

Get that kitty inside. People told me not to take this one either. And when he was hurt told me he was diseased and so forth. Now he is beautiful. I mean, it's just a kitten and it will have a bad life wthout a home.

I have one that I found in Florida. Right in the middle of the street as a kitten. He's now twelve years old and my boy. This other cat is out of luck, I think. He's a cowboy.

He's adorable. His coat looks so shiny. He looks great. Youre awesome for caring for him.

He is so beautiful! He looks just like mine. I can't post a pic tho because I am not a premium member, but take my word for it. I just love tuxedo kitties! Bless you for rescuing yours.

My Tuxie is laying down on the anitque bed. He's totally spoiled.

The stray has been coming around occasionally for weeks. I've let him in on several occasions, only to put him out for fear of him harming my tuxedo that's already here. They only hissed. There was no forthright battle.

Still, I'm afraid. I made an appointment to take him to the vet tomorrow, but he's not here.

Tuxedos are a different breed and they can be very aggressive. Not sure what to do about two of them but I hope you can try.

I have a similar situation with my MrCat stalking my 3 pound Chihuahua. Also, he remains very independent and won't get into the carrier for me to take him to the vet. Things like that.

Are Tuxedos the same as Jellico cats? Anyone know?

Thank you all for your replies and pics. I have a weak spot for any animal in need and this little tuxie is a sweetie. The thing is, I can't afford to take him to the vet, etc. He accidentally (really!) bit me and I'm still here to talk about it, so I guess he's not rabid, lol. I have an older tuxie here in the house already that I rescued from the street, and I feel that I would be putting him at risk if I bring this other guy in any more. There's snow on the ground now and it just makes me sick to not be able to let him in, but I tell myself that I cannot rescue them all. There's lots of horses and barns around here and I'm hoping that he sleeps with them.

Oh, well. Anyhow, I've named him Roland. The gunslinger.

Your little black and white kitty looks much the same as mine. My baby has black dots on his socks. He's older now and not used to cold weather (like his mom)

arghhhhh. Still dealing with this little pisser. I am trying to be hard and I just can't. I've given him a blanket and a box on the front porch. I honestly don't know if I would be doing him a favor bringing him in, or not??? Talked to another nearby neighbor about him today and she thinks he was "dumped" here early in the summer. He looks perfectly healthy, but I need to worry about my current tuxie housecat contracting something.

How do you know where they'd be happier, dammit? If I spend money on him, he won't be going in and out, but is that what he wants? As soon as it gets dark, he's gone. He is quite the hunter, we have seen at least one mouse's demise. This cat is not skinny; the neighbors feed him, but what about the COLD???

I worry too much.

Anyhow. For anyone that gives a rat's ass....... My boyfriend brought his old doghouse over from his mom's house. We filled it with straw. We feed him and give him treats and water.

Man. Such a cool cat...

OK, so Little Miss Don't Hurt that Ant over here coddled him and he ended up pissing me off.

I'll still feed him but he'll get more consideration from my boyfriend, who was never as nice to him. Little pissers like that can teach you a good life lesson.
