Radiohead: Conspiracies?
Good morning all!

I've heard some 9/11 conspiracies having to do with Radiohead's OK COMPUTER.

Three songs in particular that are supposed to have some relevance are 'Lucky,' 'Paranoid Android' and 'Karma Police' (Not to mention the uber creepy 'Fitter, Happier' bit) Don't even get me started on how they are constantly compared to Pink Floyd!

Anyway, the lyrics:

Lucky:

I'm on a roll
I'm on a roll
this time
I feel my luck could change
Kill me Sarah (?)
Kill me again with love
It's gonna be a glorious day
Pull me out of the air crash
Pull me out of the lake

‘Cause I'm your superhero
We are standing on the edge
The head of state has called for me by name
But I don't have time for him

It's gonna be a glorious day!
I feel my luck could change
Pull me out of the air crash
Pull me out of the lake
‘Cause I'm your superhero
We are standing on the edge
We are standing on the edge

Paranoid Android:

Please could you stop the noise,
I'm trying to get some rest?
From all the unborn chicken voices in my head
What's that? (I may be paranoid, but not an android)
What's that? (I may be paranoid, but not an android)
When I am king you will be first against the wall
With your opinion which is of no consequence at all
What's that? (I may be paranoid, but not an android)
What's that? (I may be paranoid, but not an android)

Ambition makes you look pretty ugly
Kicking squealing Gucci little piggy
You don't remember, you don't remember, why don't you remember my name?
Off with his head man, off with his head man
Why don't you remember my name?
I guess he does

Rain down, rain down, come on rain down on me
From a great height, from a great height, height
Rain down, rain down, come on rain down on me
From a great height, from a great height, height
That's it sir, you're leaving (Rain down)
The crackle of pig skin (Rain down)
The dust and the screaming (Come on rain down)
The yuppies networking (On me)
The panic, the vomit (From a great height)
The panic, the vomit (From a great height)
God loves his children
God loves his children, yeah

Karma Police:

Karma police, arrest this man
He talks in maths
He buzzes like a fridge
He's like a detuned radio

Karma police, arrest this girl
Her Hitler hairdo is
Making me feel ill
And we have crashed her party

This is what you get
This is what you get
This is what you get when you mess with us

Karma Police
I've given all I can
It's not enough
I've given all I can
But WE'RE STILL ON THE PAYROLL

This is what you get
This is what you get
This is what you get when you mess with us

And for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
And for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself

For for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
For for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
Phew, for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself

As if Thom Yorke's voice wasn't goose-bump-inducing, apparently, some songs can be backmasked to where you can see creepy images (if they are played into audio software that shows the seemingly innocuous sound waves).

I had my playlist on shuffle and 'Nude' came on. I had the volume so loud, lights out and hear this backwards mumbling!

my sister inlaw is totally mkultra brainwashed by radiohead. I wonder if anyone else has a friend or family member that seems to have been brainwashed by mr. york? ...she is obsessed with that guy. she also talks like a hippie about love ad vibrations and such but at the same demonstrates thr most hateful behavior. she even tells.her 5 year old son that she doesn't want or love him...at the center of all of this, there is here obsession woth radio head and how insane she has become lately. any one else having this problem with regards to radiohead..

It's difficult to converse about but there's more to radiohead than is talked about. Their music is about perception.

Your theory isn't that far fetched. I myself experience a frightening emotional mixed-state of utter despair and violent rage when I listen to only 2 songs or so of them. It's hard to describe ... something borderline neurotic. I've never managed to listen to more of them as I instinctively feel something's very off and it isn't doing me any good when I'm already feeling down.

York's whailing reminds me of those sirens from Greek mythology, which tried to lure boats to the rocky shores in order to shipwreck them.
