Anyone take Turmeric capsules/tablets?

I eat the organic powder with Himalayan pink salt everyday

Does it do anything noticeable?

I take it because it pretty much elliminates any chance of disease including cancer.

Swanson Premium,Turmeric, 720 mg, 100 Capsules at 2x a day.

Sound about right?

I use the powder in my food all the time; it gives the food just a little ginger flavor. Try it with mash potatoes; taste good; wife doesn't care for it. Excellent with vegetables.

I suppose it is just like any detox/anti-ox supplement, you really don't know if it has any affect that is noticeable or that you can point to. I've been using the powder in my food for months now and have lost maybe 5-8 unanswered pounds. Also, an hour or so after eating I feel a little up-tick in my blood pressure.....maybe metabolism at work a little more than it use to be before I started using the stuff. I guess I could attribute that to turmeric.

Besides, I like the taste on my food; not sure about the capsules on their own.

Along with the powder in my food, I take two capsules of Turmeric Extract - Curcumin C3 Complex , 1,160 mg once per day in the morning after breakfast.

Turmeric is also good for inflamation.

I take it instead of advil. I find it works better.

BIG difference; CURCUMIN enhances the release and helps it absorb into the body.

Also, just noticed a post about helping with inflammation..... absolutely, I forgot about that. The keyboard aches of my wrist and fingers are gone and/or not noticeable at the end of the day. Arthritis runs in my family and has been a problem in the past for me.......good point by the poster...... how could I forget about that!

I have found that Cayenne Pepper 1 tbsp in a little lemonade, on a full stomach, is just as effective as any NSAID with none of the nasty side effects like sudden stroke and ulcer.

A friend of mine takes Turmeric capsules to help with his psoriasis and claims it is just as effective as any meds he has gotten from a doctor.

I take 800mg daily ....

Try the powder; sprinkle over your food. I noticed the price at vitacost for the powder (food), that is better than what I am paying at Target...who had a good price.

I am a member of lef.org so I get mine from them... they are more expensive but I trust their products ....

new research by thai university , turmeric also help regenerate liver cells besides anti-cancer... i take the powder form with raw honey.

I'm new to vitamins etc, and don't believe that vitamins should be taken that contain a vast array of other ingredients

it also contains turmeric (Standardised Turmeric Extract (47.5mg [95%] curcuminoids)50mg) ....
combined with a lot of other ingredients aswell

so what I am trying to say, is that perhaps taking only 1 item (such as turmeric), may not be as beneficial as using a multivitamin that contains several other ingredients aswell

but as I said .... I'm still learning
