I have been following this idea for a while... 2012 seems pretty quiet... though I admit i have seen things--fireballs, amazing cloud formations, earthquake--that are not typical...

I have a number of interesting links of people who would probably say that the ascension aspect might be new age propaganda to divert people from awareness of God and the need to be humble before Him... and to follow the basic tenets of Jesus Christ, to love God and each other...

New Age always seems to leave out God and put the emphasis on self-evolution...
