SERIOUSLY IS OBAMAS CAMPAIGN IN TROUBLE? ARE THEY OUT OF MONEY-GETTING A LOAN FROM B of A

Something does not compute here. This was done in early Sept and is just getting reported?

Is this why they are looking for any amount of donations? And how are they going to pay it back especially if Obama is not successful?

Obama Campaign Borrows $15M from Bank of America..........

It is unclear why the first $1 billion campaign needed an extra $15 million for the final two months of the campaign.

Obama For America took out a $15 million loan from Bank of America last month, according to the campaign’s October monthly FEC report. The loan was incurred on September 4 and is due November 14, eight days after the election. OFA received an interest rate of 2.5% plus the current Labor rate...........

Last month, two weeks after OFA took out the loan, Bank of America announced a plan that would LAY OFF 16,000 workers by the end of the year.

Yes, something of this nature. Sometimes they buy votes with cartons of cigarettes and you know how expensive those have become.

But they have been bragging about raising so much more money than Romney so this is just an example of the [rpblem with liberals in general and this administration in particular.

They simply cannot stop spending more than they have! Current government spends $11 for every $7 they collect and borrow the rest! Seems they even manage their campaign in much the same manner and this is how we got $17 TRILLION in debt.
One of the most important aspects of conspiracy theories is being able to discern when there isn't one.

Oh yeah, like you'd understand anyway.

Where are we going and why am I in this handbasket?. . .J. Handy

3 great answers --THANKS--SO then you are suggesting it
could be used as a slush fund?

And as a loan--the bank does not have to report it as a contribution as it is a loan--so its not on the books as such.

Then -who says-win or lose--they ever pay it back and it is just written off?

Im sure its not the first time this has been done and what collateral did they require for the loan?

Oh yes -this is the OP-

I had logged off to go somewhere and just came back and checked the thread.Again those answers pose some interesting questions.

The biggest one is-in my mind-is how has long this tatic been
used by others? My guess now is that it has been standard procedure for a lonf time-just never reported.

I am interested to know if borrrowed money can be used for things that donated money cannot.

15 million is just not that much money when considering this is a billion dollar campaign...

Buys a lot of Hamburgers --and votes.

The big question-in my mind is if this is
a way to skirt the rules of the game.

Not saying this campaign is doing something never tried before
but it just seems to simple to get around the rules.

.................what collateral did they require for the loan?

I like that comment-CLASSIC!!!
