As a Utahan, and operative within the Utah Republican Party, I can attest the Salt Lake Trib is a liberal newspaper. The paper and it's community are very critical of conservatives.

Just go to the online version and read the comments in the stories.

Not many conservatives in Utah would put much weight into any political recommendation the Tribune makes.

"Utah's Independent Voice since 1871" almost always endorses the Democrat. That being said, they are dead on about Mitt Romney. Prepare to have America sold to the highest bidder on the off chance that he wins.

As a fellow Utahn, I must say, don't we live amongst a bunch of sheep. It makes me sick that Romney has become the face of Mormonism. I fear that the Savior's words about the rejection of His Gospel from 3 Ne. 16 may be coming true when even the very elect are fooled by a Robber like Romney.

Oh and guess what the paper was bought out by AT&T the Radical arm of the Rockefeller JP MORGAN family i.e. the democratic socialist party...

It's not as bad as it was 5 years ago. But it's still bad.

The Ron Paul Revolution was a huge wake up call that reverberated far and wide here in Utah. It's what motivated me to inject myself into Utah politics and work my way up the ranks from inside the party.

I'm at least happy to say that a lot of the BS the party pulled in 2008 they didn't attempt, and couldn't have got away with anyway, in 2012.

And the conversation has changed too. More and more people have been waking up and realizing there's more to conservatism in Utah than just raising your right arm to the square and agreeing with the brethren on Sunday.
