Take a look here. The quake is centered about a mile and a half north of the San Andreas Fault.

I hope not....I'm in southern Oregon about 20 minutes from the Cali state line.
We had 3 quakes ranging from mag 6.3 to 6.5 all within a couple years of each other, back in the 90's.

I didn't understand the data I was hearing about and seeing so didn't post anything, but I did think it was interesting given how we hear what the sun is doing can translate into quakes and volcanoes here on earth.

edit: and by the looks of it.. this swarm isn't done yet.. there are 3 more quakes added to the list in 3 minutes...

Please take care out there in beautiful California.

Timewatcher...didn't you post a thread about the suns' magnetosphere going crazy tonight... Could this have something to do with the current quakes?

Thread: Strange Magnetopause/Sphere and Sun's Changing Magnetic Field
 Quoting: my2centsworth

The connection to activity and the Magnetosphere was been made along time ago. Big Flare = Magnetosphere activity = Earthquakes and volcano activity. There are numerous other things that add to the equation. For every action there is an equal reaction. Everything going on has an influence in what happens. Everything is going on and happening all at the same time right now in 2012.
