Global warming ended 15 years ago.
 Quoting: anonimalle

Already addressed.
No, it didn't.

This past September was the warmest September ever and the Arctic is continuing to melt away.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25997290

Wrong on both counts.

The Artic has had record remelt once the winter hit.

September was not the warmest ever. We haven't surpassed the heat from the 1930's. They have to lie and fudge the data to make it appear otherwise.
 Quoting: samanthasunflower

So whenever science shows something you don't like you just say they're "lying and fudging the data."

That's weird.

There is no subject where I accuse scientists of being dishonest.
I wait for more data sometimes but I don't assume there's some evil agenda that scientists are colluding on.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25997290

You're doing that again. Don't be such retarded.

35 celsius converts to 95 Fahrenheit.
Humans can't survive for more than a few hours if it's 95 F and HUMID.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25997290

That is BS. Here in MO it regularly gets 100+ with a humidity of 80% in the summer. Yes people die, but not that many and usually the sick and elderly. You just have to be careful. Hell, i have cross country biked with a backpack in that sort of weather. ti averaged 110F and rained every day. It was hard but i survived.
 Quoting: Snickrot

I lived in Alabama with no air conditioning so I know what it's like.

I simply do not believe rainy weather in Missouri would be anywhere NEAR 110 so I call bullshit.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25997290

I can't find the data on the humidity level for the August of 2007 but here is the temp and i will tell you it was about 60-70% humidity. It was humid enough to rain.

edit: well not 110 but 97 with an inch of rain. still should be lethal according to you.

Also, how are people in Jungles able to survive? You know, when i gets up to 90-100 with tones of rain everyday? Some of those tribes in those areas don't even have electricity.

Al Gore invented global warming?
You know how stupid that sounds?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25997290

Not as stupid as "Al Gore invented the internet".
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 300884

He NEVER said that.
That is an invented quote.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25997290

Not really. His actual words were:

"I took the initiative in creating the internet."

It wast probably just a Freudian Slip (his immense Ego made him put it this way), but people still had a good laugh on his expense. Deservedly so.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 300884

Gore DID take the initiative in creating the internet.
That is absolutely true.

He spearheaded legislation through Congress to turn the govt DARPA system into the public internet we know and love today.

The repukes somehow managed to turn that into a negative.

Re: Frightening map of areas rendered uninhabitable by GLOBAL WARMING DOOM
So the article claims it will heat up by 11 degrees C over the next 300 years?

Couple problems with that:

1. It hasn't even warmed up by a single degree celsius since their so-called start of global warming over 100 years ago.

2. At that rate it wouldn't even increase 3 degrees Celsius in 300 years

3. The formula for radiative forcing via carbon dioxide is logarithmic not exponential

[link to en.wikipedia.org]

4. Greenhouse gases will warm the coldest places on earth the most. This is because water vapor, the most powerful and common greenhouse gas, overlaps and masks the effects of carbon dioxide, which means warming from carbon dioxide will happen mostly in areas of low water vapor like antarctica and the arctic.

5. Positive feedback effects that are used to fudge these computer models into making scary scenarios are hypothetical and unproven. These models also ignore and reduce the effects of negative feedbacks which are far more common in nature.

So enjoy scaring yourself - just know it is BS.
