Strange object reported in eastern Kentucky skies



PIKE COUNTY, Ky. - It's a mystery in the sky that has many in one eastern Kentucky county talking.

Last week, Pike County leaders say they received reports from people who saw a strange object in the sky.

Sightings of the object were also reported in Virginia and Tennessee, but so far, no one knows what it was.

One astronomer tells us it's unlike anything he's ever seen before.

The astronomer says his best guess is that the object was some sort of balloon.

Police say they weren't able to find the object, and airport leaders say they don't have any records of aircraft flying through the area at the time.
