I don't think people are mad about what someone else is eating. The point is there are alot of fucked things people are doing with their food stamps. I am in a town that is surrounded by people on foodstamps that sale their foodstamps. They do go in stores and buy steaks and lobster and then sale them for cash to other people or smaller businesses around. I have a neighbor who buys foodstamps every month of the same people. It's sad because we know for a fact this couple sales their foodstamps for drug money. I just wonder how their kids eat.

I have noticed the people who support spending Hundreds of Billions on war and killing people hate the idea of taking a small portion of that money to feed and care for people. How did humans get brainwashed into killing instead of helping. The Vatican itself could feed everyone on this planet with the money they have in the church. I want to explain to you that I am really not anti foodstamps. I have been on foodstamps and I never did anything other than feed my family with them. I don't think people realize how many people get foodstamps and sale them for drugs. They really should drug test people who are going to be on them. I live in a neighborhood full of people on foodstamps and I know for a fact most of the people sale them and party on the money. I have neighbors offer to sale them to me. Their kids don't get to eat adequate meals. It's pretty fucked up when you see a mother get over 600 a month in foodstamps and then not feed her children half the time. And these people have been turned in and it does no good.

In reality, food stamp receipts were allowed to count their growing costs as a medical expense, thereby potentially getting maybe $11 more in food stamps if the saved all their miracle grow receipts. Patients had to take all receipts to their social worker, then they got a small amount of credit on medical expenses. Needless to say this was time consuming and difficult for both patients and social workers. This program has now been suspended.

You're 100% correct, OP.

The reason it's a boondoggle, or clusterfuck, if you will, is that big corporations are the largest financial beneficiaries of SNAP. The banks get a processing fee from every transaction. The retailers get increased sales. The giant agra-business companies sell a lot more processed crap... etc.

The corporations who benefit financially from this are the ones who lobby congress to increase the amount spent every year, not poor people. Politicians don't really care about the poor, not even democrats.

I do believe there is a harsh penalty for misuse of food .. uh SNAP. I still don't understand how people can abuse them unless a shopkeeper scans false items.

In my state CO I've seen fellow medical people get stung for false claims on 3 different occasions and those were the ones I knew about.
Same for any other FS/+ other assist reported abuse which does have strong penalties and is followed up.

I got a EBT card and I want to get an O Phone just because it helps crash the system. Party stores now do this hustle; they sell you the RAW CHICKEN THEN OFFER TO COOK IF FOR YOU so you can eat it in their restaurant !!! Hahahah You can buy the raw chicken on your EBT card and they just "cook" it for you. What a scam. If you are eligible for d' card, get it and dont be a fool as there are millions of lazy people including illegals getting the card. I got sick of seeing human garbage in front of me at Walmart buying 800$ in steaks, lobster etc while I eat crackers.
