Saddletramp User ID: 736969 Puerto Rico 10/21/2012 05:20 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well there is that little 2nd Amendment to the United States Constitution thing... "And how can a man die better than facing fearful odds, for the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his Gods..." ~ Horatius "Because he told the truth, and once you've heard the truth, everything else is just cheap whiskey..." "We don't rent pigs!" |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 6596609 United States 10/21/2012 05:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | No reason AT all to ever think about banning guns. It is just way to stupid. If you ban guns then criminals will still have them but the honest people will not. That will never work. If you blame people getting killed on guns then you need to blame people being fat on a fork. You can blame bad spelling on a pencil. Stupid is as stupid does and banned guns is stupid. |

novamom (OP) User ID: 21938356 United States 10/21/2012 05:27 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Sounds like a good idea because the idiots wont be able to get them when TSHTF. Quoting: Ouch 24247817 A gun ban would happen just before the global pirates are planning the big event. They would ban guns so that they could flood the US with RPG's, Grenades, machineguns, etc and make a killing on the sale of such weapons. Then they let the masses do their dirty work and the Chinese would later mop up. Weapons of all sorts would follow the drug routes into the EU and USA as the profits would be tremendous. A gun ban would mean to get your bailout bag prepped. BTW just monitoring GLP puts you on their radar. Liberal or not, if you have a wide range of interests, you are a person of interest. The liberals are usually the first to go since they realize they were duped into supporting something totally different, they tend to form resistance cells. Thats the way it works. I have a friend in the biz that gives me this info. Yes, everybody who comes to this site is in the data base. The operating system looks for certain words and phrases (FYI to those who think they are being sneeky not properly spelling names and such, it looks for those too). The information is logged by category, date, time, and region. At this moment, they only way you are going to get into trouble is if you are under high priority federal investigtion. But if martial law ever put into place you had better bet your ass the government will be looking at that list. But truth be told, most hardcore malitias and people do not usually frequent the internet. I have people in the biz too. |

Obama said AK47'S belong on the battle field, Then Declares the Homeland a Battlefield. I understand you don't care about the second amendment, You don't stand up for any other amendments either. Police only show up after the crime has been done. The government sells everything to the people based on terror, They should be glad they have an armed public. |
Ozicell User ID: 25884429 Australia 10/21/2012 05:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Actually it's been shown time and time again that banning guns costs far more lives than allowing guns. Read your history! Banning guns from the public is a preparation for a police state. An unarmed public is a lot easier to control. That which is - has already been, And what is to be - has already been. Quote: King Solomon. |

The original Constitution gives me my rights, not some assholes passing 22,000 page unread bills. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 13856469 United States 10/21/2012 05:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Someone asked me why guns are legal in another forum. Here's what I told them: Quoting: Livingood Every fight, argument, conflict and war that has ever existed or ever will exist is because of control. You can dress it up however you like, but the fact remains. Next time you get in an argument, really try to give it some critical thinking little brother. Are you trying to control someone, or is someone trying to control you? You can either resist someones attempts to get you to do something against your will, or you can capitulate. If you choose to resist, it's all about how far you are willing to go. If someone breaks into my house and threatens my family, I must resist until my last breath. If he has a gun, I will lose. If I have a gun, it's a relatively fair fight. If everyone has a gun then crime drops, because criminals don't want to die usually. Or fight a fair fight obviously. That was the point of the post about the town that has mandatory gun ownership laws and the lowest crime rate in the United States. I'll stop supporting gun laws (meaning gun rights) when there are no criminals. Now, if you're government decides it wants you to do something unreasonable best believe they are going to use a gun. I know you missed the history lesson in my first post, so here's the cliff notes. England and what was the colonies went to war. blah blah. U.S. is established and the new government says "hey citizens, don't take any shit from a tyrant. keep your guns." Essentially, protect yourself from unreasonable attempts at control even if it's us. Pretty fucking cool for a government. With liberty comes responsibility. Why so much gun violence? Irresponsible people with guns. Why so many guns? The people that put this country together, and fought to the death to protect it, wanted their citizens to act like adults. So they treated them like adults and didn't tell what they can and can't do. The laws they put in place were to prevent people from controlling other people. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom to keep and bare arms..."say what you want, think what you want, and defend you're RIGHTS to do so...even from us". Very well put.So if more ppl would act like adults we would have it made. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 25926363 United Kingdom 10/21/2012 05:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Humans are just violent animals. People take it upon themselves to kill others in so many ways. Some drive into a crowd of people, some line their pockets while poisoning the populace, some go postal in movie theatres and some buy guns. Here in England, where guns have long been taken off the menu, it has had no effect on the collective mentality at all, as we are still nasty and violent - but intentional killings usually take the form of knife attacks. A hell of a lot actually. Take away the guns and you'll all ONLY find something else with which to share the love. |
Kirk User ID: 25384388 United States 10/21/2012 05:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Also, we're legally bound by the Constitution to create and maintain a civil militia. That militia is required to be armed with the same weapons as the military. Quoting: Livingood I would like my tank please. I have been saying this for years, but people are too fat to understand it. I will personally command a wing of F-15s. you couldn't afford the fuel for one Government is a body largely ungoverned. |

I truely want to understand the mindset. Quoting: novamom Good post OP. Remember. an armed society is a polite society. Nikola "One person with courage is a majority." - Thomas Jefferson "You’ve heard that we are what we eat. But we also are what we think". “Liberals claim to want to give a hearing to other views, but then are shocked and offended to discover that there are other views." -William F. Buckley Jr. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 25390958 United States 10/21/2012 06:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | statistically crime control is most effectively control of the african race social activities. I dont like it, I wish it wasnt the case but the facts are that there is a 100 times or 10000% greater likelihood that any individual black person is gonna end up a violent criminal than any one individual wite debbil. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 22232974 Netherlands 10/21/2012 06:18 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Plain and simple anyone can understand. Bad guys don't follow the law. Good guys do. You pass a law (that good guys follow) to ban guns. Bad guys don't care. Then both bad and good guys get the same punishment for owning a gun. Logically this makes no sense. Any law abiding person is MOST likely not going to use guns to kill, rob, or commit other crimes. However its the bad guys that DONT follow the law that are committing these violent crimes with guns. How is creating a law which bans guns going to stop the bad guy that doesn't follow the law? This whole idea about banning guns will never work..unless... The punishment is death. Get caught owning a gun, you die. Id would say no one would own a gun then huh? |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 17478519 United States 10/21/2012 06:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I can honestly say I can understand the banning assault rifle arguement, not that I agree, I can understand and that is a good debate. Quoting: novamom I'm glad someone understands it, because I sure as hell don't. Look up the statistics...only a small percentage of all firearm-related homicides (around 5%) are committed where the perpetrator used a rifle of any kind, to include single-shot, lever action, bolt action, and semi-automatic rifles (of which so-called 'assault rifles' fall into the last category). There are literally more people killed riding bicycles every year in the US than are killed in homicides involving a rifle of any kind. |
