Continuing from last night.. Here was the resulting card spread so you can follow along and see what is going on.

Thread: Tarot Readings... (Currently closed..) (Page 13)

We did the initial card counting, and ended up with 12 cards (if you include the Significator which represented Guenwyfar, the Princess of Cups.)

I already posted the card list which was in the earth pile of cards, along with the values that they count, and the order of the counting (the direction the princess faces), etc., and I will recap all of this later in a moor comprehensive and understandable post..

We formed a small "crude story" from the cards that were counted onto, and posted that (I was pretty drunk, so it could have been much better.. lol)

But in a nutshell, it was Bartender coming in and crapping over this thread, which was obvious to me after seeing the Fool and Devil. :)
(When I did a quick reading on him, he was the Fool and also the Devil on both sides of dealing from the deck.)

Now, for this part, we take the Princess and we pair the cards on the left and right of her, and keep going, until we run out, getting a more complete picture of the "story" by this pairing. This is where the "unused" cards come in. None of them are "unused" at all. Every card is here for a reason, and we are about to find out:


So, starting with the Princess of Cups, I will begin listing the pairs of cards on each side, and then a little piece of the story. You will see how it will spell out things that took place in the thread last night after Bartender came in. I actually have to thank him for coming in and doing that, because without his "help" we wouldn't have had such a good demonstration of this spread and the Work. :)

-A Fool enters, he has a strong desire, passion, and Lust for something here, but what is it?-


The Hierophant (V) <> 4 of Cups (Luxury)*

-The Prince is emotionally secure and stable here; he is to help the Princess in a spiritual matter, and The Fool sees this and becomes very angry. "This is nonsense!" "Tarot is B.S.!!!"-


10 of Wands (Oppression)* <> Queen of Swords*

-The Fool seeks to Oppress the Princess, because he cannot believe that any of this is possible. "B.S.!!!" he continues to shout!-


Prince of Cups* <> 9 of Disks (Gain)*

-The Prince immediately realizes what is going on, and steps in to stop this nonsense. He easily Gains the upper hand in this matter, but what is the secret?-


The Priestess (II) <> Queen of Wands*

-The Prince uses Intuition to help the Princess and overcome the Fool.-

-The Fool continues to try to Interfere with the Princes Work here..-

-He is Successful in battling the Fool with the fire of Pure Will.-


The Hanged Man (XII) <> The Star (XVII)

-Will the Fool understand? Will he learn from the failure and try to become the Star? Or, will he continue to 'hang around' or be 'strung up', crucified by his own convictions? Will he remain powerless, and just be The Hanged Man?-


Queen of Disks* <> Prince of Wands*

-The Prince gets on with his business here and helps the Princess.-


The Chariot (VII) <> The Emperor (IV)

-He embraces the qualities of The Emperor; structure, law, and order, and mastery of Will over Nature. He establishes the stability of the (4) and shows the way. The Chariot is ready to move forward.-

[The Chariot is also 7 (3+4), the unification of the divine(3) with the material world(4), the Earth.. four elements, four directions, and so on, and so forth.. Also, 4+7=11, Lust. The passion and lust for life, but the taming of the inner beast is necessary, blah, blah..]

The Devil (XV) <> 7 of Swords (Futility)

-The Fool (also The Devil) is Futile in these efforts her, and future efforts as well, and always will be..-

[Add 15+7 and you get 22, which is The Fool when adding the cards. Since you can't add anything to 0. The pairing of the Emperor and Chariot and The Devil here and Futility is especially Magickal. 2+2=4, The Fool and The Emperor..]

See what is left? What does this card represent? It is likely the most important one in the whole deck.

It can represent your "Guardian Angel", and the man who has retreated from the physical world to perform his self-reflection and inner work, one who has committed himself to finding "God" and connection to his "Holy Guardian Angel" and returns to share the Knowledge with those who will listen.
