Don't do anything foolish like damaging your workplace -- think hidden cameras.

By the way, tell us more about what kind of work you do.

I get the impression you work for a loan shark.

sighs

why net advice is pretty much useless- this guy just lost you your job, and at the minimum could land you with a criminal record- not to mention just lost you probably everything you own if your boss sues you for allowing a criminal activity to take place on his property... (illegal video recordings- from a hidden camera no less- think big $ in a civil action and criminal charges to boot)

See...my reaction to people like this is a seething rage that I bury inside. I have to suppress the urge to visit them at their homes at night and put a few rounds into their heads while they sleep. If you get these urges to kill, maybe you can freak them out by saying something psycho to them, make them fear their for their lives, but deny it completely if they report it, then present your recorded evidence of bullying instead.

If you are ever the victim of bullying in any company do what I would do.

"Go to the guy running the show and tell him in a very friendly nice voice that if anyone in the company tries to mess with you you'll come after HIM as he is RESPONSIBLE for the whole operation.

Some idiots tried to bully me once and I did the above. They were suddenly extremely nice the next day.

I quit my job because of a workplace psychopath. He was the assistant manager and a really nasty piece of work. I'm not talking about someone who just yells at someone due to incompetence, I'm talking about a seriously sick motherfucker who gets off on twisted mind games.

I made complaints about him, but nothing was done, so my only option was to punch his face in and face criminal prosecution, or to walk out. So I chose the latter option. The asshole wasn't worth being jailed for. He would have loved that.

Or you could make a vow to live longer than him so that you can take a steaming shit right on top of his gravesite.

Before you leave, take some raw ground beef, open it from the wrapper and start stashing it in above the ceiling tiles, and in the back of cupboards.
In the back of desk drawers. If you really feel daring, take a poop in the boss's desk drawer.
Back in the day, you'd pour a couple two liters of coca cola into his gas tank.
However, everything has locks.

PS, if you don't want to poop in the boss's desk drawer, then consider taking a shoe box full of kitty litter droppings to work...and, well... You get the idea.

Now go!

Re: Am quitting my job the workplace bullying is unbelivable
its not really the bullying that is getting to me

its working hard and making money for people

that value it so little,

sure i can bully back and hit above my weight but its not me?

i will help my employer by telling the authorities

the bullying is epidemic in his workplace

and making sure he can still make money

without his other workers suffering in silence

or taking it out on others to release it

like

-their friends family etc etc

i will leave the door open to return thought i doubt i will go back

had a similar situation here last year and just up and quit. The called a few months later begging me back, the whole don't know what you have until it is gone type thing, things have been better this year but it is again building to a point where I will do the same and tell them not to call me again. When I left last year Unemployment paid out because I had 'no alternative but to quit' I think Australia works the same as Canada so just check out your UI rules for quitting and let er buck.

google shows a real lack of hits re canada and hidden video taping...

but I can assure the OP that using hidden video cameras is NOT a good idea- its go directly to goal, do not collect 200 dollars type bad idea here in oz....

certainly at best- he WILL get a criminal record if he even tries to use anything on them..

at worst- he could be sued by the `bad guys' for every cent they can get- which is hardly what he wants...

its why net `advice' is worse than useless- its actually dangerous...

(or I can go to the us and drive up the freeway on the left lanes-why would anyone expect sane people to drive on the wrong side of the road....)

so I kill a few people- so sue me....

Re: Am quitting my job the workplace bullying is unbelivable
I left a job because of bullying by a control freak, they get off on mind games
and will think up ways to upset you and dominate you. Dont get angry and
answer back its what they want, a fight verbally, just smile and walk away
that disarms them more than anything. They just want to feel important
cos I think they are unloved individuals wanting attention.

It was all a huge ego trip, the person controlling and bullying is full of fear
and must have control. To belittle someone else to make themselves feel
big is really a coward behind it all that has no self respect for himself or
others. They have the problem not you.

Do the dignified thing and dont sink to their level, just quietly walk out
and leave, dont retaliate they just get off on it even more because they
have had the power to upset you and get to you.

Dont work for miserable bastards its just not worth it - they will not and
cannot change their behaviour, they will point the finger at you not
realising that the fault lies within themselves and will blame everyone else
but themselves.

What goes around comes around - karma no-one gets away with anything.

I had to quit my church music ministry for very similar circumstances. Yes, I was a volunteer in a Christian organization and suffered this nonsense! I stayed as long as I could out of passion for the music and my well-intentioned goal of fixing the problem for others. In the end, TPTB viciously shot the messenger (me), which seemed easier for them, I guess. Karma, however, has been swift. They have lost a number of committed people who offered so many talents, time, and money throughout the organization (which also describes me). The bully in question has ruffled the feathers of the wife of one of TPTB (oh the drama!). And TPTB have suffered an ego-busting set-back recently in their biggest endeavor to date.

Insecure bullies and petty tyrants exist in every type of organization. I guess it's human nature.

OP, get out and give yourself some time to heal. You don't have to put up with that junk. Sorry to say, it may take longer than you think to detox your psyche. Take care of yourself!

many years ago- I worked with a jovo- they believed that the un in 1999 would ban all religions..

shame it never happened- the pain all religions- of all creeds- over the years have caused has far damage than any gain from their so called moral code...

I wouldn't be unhappy if every religious person got `raptured' or whatever right now

I'd actually be glad...
less dumbtards around...

Stop being pussies, and man up!!!

I've been working since I was 16, and now I am 28

I've worked all my life in different types of places from warehouses, to offices, to outside public works and all my life we have had bullies in the workplace,

I have had fist fights with some up, pushed them around with my fists, I once strangled some dude many times (different people), pulled out a knife many types to certain people, I brought guns to work, but never shot anyone, just scared them away, which actually work!

And they all were scared, you have to fight back y'all, fuck these losers, they will never learn until you show them you can fight back, so man up!

Re: Am quitting my job the workplace bullying is unbelivable
My resume has been destroyed by workplace bullying and I take only "crap" jobs now and get harassed even there. I live in an area where everyone knows everyone because the place I live in is a peninsula accessible only by bridges and its incestual and everyone knows everyone. I've been here over 20 years and the harassment hasn't stopped and follows me from job to job. I pray the new job I'm taking it won't follow me there too but I know it will. I don't know who is doing it and why they are doing it I get the feeling they want me to commit suicide but I'm a good Christian and wouldn't ever do that no matter how bad things got. My family and friends and even my husband think I'm loopy because they haven't walked in my shoes and experienced what I've experienced. I just keep praying to God for patience and strength and, thankfully, he's granted me that but I'm so tired of being bullied. Its been happening my whole life but of late particularly at work. Hang in there and prayers and thoughts of safety to those of you experiencing this. So sorry you have to go through it. It sucks.

Rickster58 is absolutely correct about getting an attorney.

He or she can advise you about whether or not to record evidence, or how to document what is going on.

Don't just walk away from your job.

Don't act or react in anger to anything going on.

Get proactive and cunning. Engage an attorney.

Follow the ring leader to lunch one day, kick his teeth in. Boss calls you in to discuss the situation, say he can talk shit to me at work all day, but damn if I'll let him talk shit to me outside the workplace. You will either get fired, and be happy knowing you kicked dudes teeth in, or get a promotion for showing some balls.
