i have this theory that this is why he wishes to take the oath in private. if you remember the first time around he messed up and flubbed the words and because of the had to re-take the oath in private.

Barry's mother married Lolo Soetoro in 1965 when Barry was only 3 years old.

It is often (usually) reported that the marriage happened in 1967 or 1968. Since then the clause above would not kick in. The actual date of March 1965 was not made public until after the first election.

So in 1966 how does a child with two Indonesian parents (according to Indonesian law) not be Indonesian.

Obama senior claims Obama II - thus releasing him of his Indonesian citizenship and then guardianship is transferred to the grandparents. Mother returns to Indonesia. Remember she did not leave Indonesia in 1971 or 1972. It was later that she returned to the US.

Obama traveled between Indonesian and the US after he was removed from his mother's passport in 1967 numerous times. To debunk any of this a simple passport from that time would resolve this. But more than likely Obama was considered an Indonesian citizen - by both the US and Indonesia in the late 60's and early 70's.
