A handmade owl head. I have it in real life too. He put his glasses on it every night before bed. I have it sitting in my room now with his glasses.

that so cool and i say yes. i had a dog i loved so much many years ago and i still miss him anyway he used to come to me in my dreams and it always made me feel good and still a bit sad however he hasn't been around in years. but i wished when you made contact with your GP if it is not too personal you give us a heads up only if

The owl thing makes me nervous. Owls and deer are used for screensaver memories in abductees. Did your g-father make the owl himself? Why did he have an owl...was he a naturalist? Or was he trying to figure out his own owl connections? Putting his glasses on the owl at night seems endearing, but also could have significance. Was he seeing owls in his sleep?

Anyway, just my take on the owl...creeps me out a bit. I hope I am wrong about it.

My own dad has come to me in OBE a few times. He didn't try to tell me anything, I think because he knew that I would later question if it was him or someone making themselves LOOK like him. I could feel the love, though, and that was the whole point. The love. It's boundless.

Best wishes, OP. I hope you can figure it all out and it comes to a comforting conclusion.

There is nothing creepy about owls. Owls are intelligent, observant, protective and loyal. The eyes are the window to the soul. Owls have unique eyes - and you chose your dad's "eyes" on the owl head. He's watching over you.

There IS something creepy about owls if you are an abductee.

Don't dismiss this as nothing.

Even so, I hope that is not the case with the g-father.

Wow! Must be the time of the year for it. My grandpa visited me in September...more than once but this one was a doozy. I put up a post but no one commented.

You mentioned an owl...Owls are protectors of the dead. The owl symbolizes the protected release of the newly sprung soul into the realm of the spirits from the realm of the living.

Thread: Dreamed about my dead grandparents last night

Owls are oracles. They know secrets. You say the owl was handmade. Who made it? Maybe they have a secret to share with you.

I don't know who made it, unfortunately :(

Thanks for the insight, angel man. I'm a bit confused though- you said if we feel down, we should go down. Down into the earth; feel the earth. What exactly do you mean by that; how can we do that?

The best way is to feel the down feeling, then lay on the ground. Let yourself feel heavy and heavier and let your spirit go down.
If you want you can put your ear to the ground and ask the earth to say something to you.I find it best to do this at the beach. The earth can speak to you.
I took some men through this in a Mens group once. One guy thanked me cause he had not done this before as he thought he would have a heart attack.

Or you can hug a tree then let your spirit go down into its roots and keep going down.

Hope this doesnt confuse you more.

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
For some reason, I never dream of my relatives that have passed on, I only dream about current living, and practically the "future" by that, I mean being with them, but in place I have never been before, or with things they never had but they owned while in the dream. I always have these types of dreams.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 17856024

I mentioned the senses before. these are called channels. There is also the relationship channel and the world channel. In the relationship channel we experience and grow through relationships. In the world channel things spirit manifests in the world.
This approach is derived from the modern day Process Psychology of Arnold Mindell.

So in your dreams your are evolving the relationships and later on they are manifest in the world channel which is kinda like being in the TV show while you are watching it on TV.

I had a 'phone call' while I was dreaming from my recently passed granddad, asking me how I was, I told him I loved him (never did that in RL) he said the same to me then he 'hung up'. It was during an extreme lucid dream about something else and the 'phone call' intruded my current dream scenario, it turned out to be a dream within a dream, I 'woke up' in my room but still dreaming it took alot of will to wake up again (I fell asleep meditating btw) ,I've only had two LDs in my life and this one lasted what seemed to be the entire night, the next morning I felt very much at peace though.

Very strange but very welcome.

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
I found this in my chapter Angels, Accidents Disasters;
The owl talks to me story

One night I wasn’t sure where to park my car. An owl flew down on a fence. I knew he meant ‘park here’. He began making owl noises. I knew each sound was a ‘blip’ of communication to me. Afterwards I asked my angel what he had said. Roughly, it went like this. ‘You will live a long time (reassuring). Beware the ‘trill’ it will try to cause you to fall and break your back, (I had met a strange bird-like being at one place and fallen and cracked a rib in my back here at a later date. This helped me to give this being a name). You are one of us now. We are your clan brothers forever. We are with you. We are the Mothers of all Nations.’ (They influenced our thoughts during sleep times and gave us nurturing at night.) Greetings.

The beings of the night such as moths, owls and bats are the totem spirits for the backwards time. If they speak to you be aware that if they say ‘will happen’ it may mean ‘has already happened’ in our time and vis-a-versa. If they appear to you in a vision or dream then you know the backwards time is ‘approaching you’.

In angel sleep there is resting, but a resting in angel consciousness not unconsciousness.

You are stronger in the auditory channel. It reminds me of one dream I had. Dr Who was playing on TV. And a phone number Came up on the screen with a message. If you want to talk to Dr Who call this number. So I though I have never done anything like this before and rang the number. Dr Who actually answered the phone, clear as , and we started chatting. So, I have a clear connection to a TimeLord and also many Timelords. So I was given a gift of perfect timing, and mastery of Time. 11:11 just grabbed my attention on the computer.

Also i have always thought that it would be easy to make phones and cameras with our present technology to talk and see those on the other side.

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
My mom passed away two months ago. Since that time I have had numerous dreams where she comes to me in the dream. But she just exists in the dream. She says nothing. A blank stare on her face. I find myself screaming her name over and over but she won't talk to me in the dream. I am aware she is dead in the dream. It just keeps happening. I am a very lucid dreamer, and thought her coming to me in dreams has been spurred on by grieving. But I keep having the same dream. And it's disturbing.

I am a strong believer that when we depart from earth we leave positive and negative energy of our existence. I asked my mom before she died, to come to me after she passes. I tried to find places where her positive energy might still resonate, but have not felt her presence at all. Just a silly wish I had I guess. But why does she keep appearing in my dreams and I can't communicate. It's just too intense.

Love your story OP. :-)

I've had dreams with a number of relatives that have died, the interesting part is they don't always communicate at first, but as time goes on they seem more able to speak to me...

Here is an example of what I was saying. When they appear you are in the visual channel. But to hear them you have to switch into the auditory channel. You have developed seeing, but not hearing. You have to learn to switch so you can develop and work with both. And it takes time and practise. Its like you have the picture of the TV on but cant find the sound knob. Or the feeling knob for that matter. What is the feeling when she comes?

i guess only you can know that. If it was me it may be ability to communicate with rocks, like crystals and crystal consciousness.
