Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
had a dream about a great aunt that died, she was in my bedroom and in the dream i said she couldnt go in the lounge because i had guests, she was dead and would frighten them.lol.
She said she came to let me know she was going to help me sell this car i had(piece of junk in my yard lol).

in waking life i had no intentions of advertising the piece of junk car, was going to strip it for parts. So left me wondering how itd sell without advertising.

two weeks after the dream, a guy was hanging over the back gate and asking:
"dont want to sell that car do you?"

yay one for the great aunt she came through.

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
About 8 months ago I dreamed of my dad ..... I was outside and I saw dad across the branch where we live that separates land.

He was there by a rocky cut ledge on the edge of the field...he went into the rocks face...there was a clef in the rock he just went into it...then he came back out.

He was acting nervous and pressed for time.

I went to cross the branch to get him to come home with me. But he rushed to me and met me before I could go through the branch or go into the water.

He came with me to the house we walked back to it together. But I noticed once he crossed the branch neither one of us had a body.

We were together and there but I had no body any more neither did he.

I wanted him to come in and stay with me....but he would not enter the house he would not speak to me either. He just stood out side with me.

I talked with him about remolding we were doing....then all of a sudden everything went black.

I turned to look around and was seeing only black nothing but black. I noticed then that I was laying down not standing and in my bed not out side....I felt some one in the bed with me.

I sleep alone but there was some on in bed with me asleep they were snoring. I stretched my arm and hand out to the side where they were and was trying to feel who it was.

I could not see anything and was like asleep my own self. Even though I thought I was sleeping I was also thinking in my sleep like dreaming it.

But I was awake in my dream....and I knew this at the same time I knew I was asleep.

The person in bed with me or in my bed began mumbling because of me felling and patting them to figure our who it was..They were one their side with their back to me.

When they mumbled I recognized it was my mom.

I asked her what was I going to do with dad out there...he was outside and I needed to make a place for him to come in and get him to come inside with us.

She said "I don't know what to do with him."

The second she answered me like that it broke us apart and only I was left in my bed wide awake. The blackness gave way to just a dark room not that jet black.

I used to talk to my grandmother in my sleep and she would talk to me..we would even have the same dream on the same night and be sharing the dream talking to each other in it.

When I would go to check on her we would exchange what we shared with each other in the dream.

She would tell me what she felt about it and what we had done and such...basically her feelings and view of what was and was going on between us.

Then I would tell here how I felt during it. And whether I saw it differently than her or the same. Some times we would be at odds over something in the dream...and have to come to grips with it....basically amend something.

Worst part about is the dreams we would have would later come to actually take place. And we would fall into the same thing that caused us in the dream to have to make amends for.

And I always felt like why do we dream something in advance know better than to...do or say the things we say.

Then turn around and live out that same dream a month later and fall right into the same thing we dreamed of and chose not to accept it as what we wanted or would do or act like.

We shared the good and the bad in our sleep together in a dream we both were having ...and both of us were in that dream together. In real time and real life.

What blew my mind was to connect to my mom like that with her there has not been that bond I had with my grandmother.

But I do think it is time to bond together with mom. Settle our way and make sure nothing is left unsaid or done.
Or riding the last mile of the way out together she should not be left to walk it out alone.

She needs somebody and a place she can go even when she can not walk or stand or get out of her bed.

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
I just had dream recently of my deceased mother. It was so real, she was telling me she couldn't sleep because she knew I had 3 doctor's appointments. A week later, I had intestinal problems, this next week, it's a sinus infection. (I actually hadn't put this together until just a few minutes ago) I wonder if something else will happen?

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
My aunt passed away in April from cancer. A couple of weeks ago, my mom had a dream about my aunt, and in the dream, my mom said it was like my aunt was trying to tell her something, but she couldn't really figure it out. When my mom woke up, she told my dad about the dream.

Later that day, my cousin (the son of my uncle who was married to my aunt)went to visit my parents to tell them that my uncle (who has also had cancer for years) only has 2-3 months to live.

My mom feels that that was what my aunt was trying to tell her.

When my best friend died years ago, I dreamed about her almost every night, and it would be the same dream. As children, we used to go to my friend's cottage, and the in the dream, we were always in the lake, just like we had been when we were kids.

After my dad died, he came through in a dream but he couldn't speak. I'm not sure why. My grandpa was with him and spoke for him saying everything's ok and hugged me.

My more recent, recurring dreams have more urgency and severity to them. He wants me to DO something. I just don't know what.

And these dreams are going to keep happening with more and more intensity until I figure it out.

To see through the eyes of an angel!

Q. What does an angel see?

To get a feel for seeing through the eyes of an angel, try to imagine what an owl would see or an eagle. Look through the eyes of an owl. Look through the eyes of an eagle. See their worlds. Dream with them. This is owl dreaming and eagle dreaming.

Try to imagine what you would look like through the eyes of an angel.

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
My nan visited me in a dream shortrly after she died. She was speaking to me, but I couldn't hear or understand what she was saying. It seemed urgent at the time.

Before she died, her ability to communicate was impaired. She seemed adamant that there was something important that I needed to know, but no one could figure out what it was. It went with her when she died, sadly.

I looked up this sort of thing on the interent, and found that it is quite common and genreally considered a good sign, that the person who is visiting has passed on and is generally letting you know they are ok. Most people have these sort of dreams quite soon after the loved one has died.

amazing thread! love reading everyone's stories.

sure, sometimes perhaps its our subconscious, but not every time! i have experience that its not and many stories in this thread are proof that its not.

i will dream of my grandmother, it happened more often after she died. sometimes i call my mother to tell her, and then she says she dreamed of her last night too!

i always want to tell her how much i love her & miss her, though she doesn't seem to know that she's not with us anymore.

also i think it is possible to be visited by different parts of a person, perhaps after we die over a course of time our spirit separates from our personality.

and then perhaps over time the personality even fragments into elements of different densities. i know it sounds crazy but some of the dreams i've had are disturbing or even scary.

like i'm meeting a part of her personality without her soul being present within it.

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
My mother died about 2 years ago at age 71. When she was only 32 years old she had a severe stroke and a new heart valve placed into her at the same time. She went all the way back to infancy. She had to be taught to crawl then walk and write etc...

Shortly after she died I had a dream that she was entering a martial arts class I happened to be teaching through a side door which was only a curtain. Her hair was completely gone.

As she walked through the curtain a woman pushed her through and my mother fell down. She immediately jumped right up with a smile on her face and said, "I'm alright! I had my medicine last night!"

The woman who pushed her had a smug/superior look on her face which made me think she had pushed my mother on purpose.

I wondered about the dream. I wondered that perhaps her mind couldn't jump from total disability to heavenly freedom. Perhaps she was being eased into heaven. My mother had to know she was well after all those years of disability.
But Lord, he stinketh!

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
I'm definitely a believer on this subject and have had a few experiences of my own. There are many skeptics out there who will just dismiss the claims as being nothing but a dream sequence.

Here's how you can tell the difference.

When you wake up, your dreams immediately begin to fade. Unless you tell someone the dream or write it in a dream diary, few people will remember them after a couple of hours. The edges get fuzzy until you can't recall anything at all.

With the spiritual contacts via the dream world, they don't fade. Just the opposite. They remain crisp & clear in a similar way as the memories you have after watching a movie.

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
In july 2007.. my uncle went missing in east st louis. He went to the east side on a late saturday night/early sunday morning. that sunday i had my stepsons bday party and went to the grocery store. when i came back to the car there was a crow (raven?) walking on my car...and it left its footprints all over. it struck me as strange...gave me a kinda uneasy feeling...but didnt necessarily scare me..also at this point no one knew he was missing. two days later i found out no one had heard from him. he was missing for two weeks and was found they day of my birthday (i was also 8 months pregnant). The whole time he was missing my father was trying to find him. walking through fields...goin thru abandoned buildings. during this time i had a dream that i walked into quik trip ajd my uncle was getting ready to check out at the register and as soon as i walked in he looked straight at me and said "i dont want your dad to find me". he was very stern. i couldnt make any sense of it until he was found. he was found dumped behind a church...not intact. i realized he didnt want my father to find him in the condition he was in. i wish i had gone to my family at the time and told them about the dream but i didnt. i only recently told my aunt (dads sister). i learned her and my gma have dreams and connect w spirits...they are sensitive. this dream was my only experience. is it weird that id like to experience more? is there a way for me to use my ability if i have one? ive always been very intuitive.

also...could the crow or raven have been my uncles spirit?

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
The crow was his 'ally'. Every person has an animal ally which is an animal embodiment of their guardian angel. He was appearing to you through his ally. It may also be your ally.

Here is some more form my blogbook; chapter q and A on Angels
[link to angelconsciousness.blogspot.com.au]

Q 2. What about ancestors?
Some of them are here in Angel-like form. They may even have little wings. They are also protecting you. The Guardian Angel is operating through them. They also are learning in the Angel World, and some of their lessons are also your lessons. You grow, as they grow and vis-a-versa.

In Africa they say, ‘ I am the living representation of my ancestors on Earth. They cannot do anything on Earth without me. I am their King.’ Your grandmother and grandfather are pulling strings for you, and your joy is their joy and their blessing. Be kind to their memory for they love you.

I dunno why. It still feels wrong. I'm sure the dream will repeat until I get it right.

Yes; Everyone has fragments and when they pass over some may remain because you are not conscious of them. They are a bit lost. Gradually they are returned.

Also there are abilities the person has gained through their life and they may wish to pass these abilities on to you. for example, some psychic abilities may be passed from generation to generation. Eldership abilities in aboriginal culture must be handed down.

Some more about the angel fragments; from [link to angelconsciousness.blogspot.com.au]
The fragments are parts of yourself that you do not know exist. You do not have conscious access to them.

They present themselves in the lower form as disturbing spirits and, in their higher forms as angels or saints, gods and goddesses. They may be fairies and devas. Spiritually they may appear as inclinations and aspirations; the qualities of love; creative gifts. In psychological terms they are archetypes. Physically they manifest as cysts, allergies, addictions, tumours, cravings and lunatic behaviour. They are in your blind spots, your dark holes, your places of lost power, struggles with wild and crazy dream figures, even sleep paralysis. All of these.

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
Both of my parents came to visit me in dreams after they'd passed. Dad came back some months later, did not speak to me, only changed the battery to his old work car which I was going to be driving to college. It had been sitting at the curb since he'd died, and we had not been able to start it. Neither Mom nor I had any idea what was wrong with it. This was back in 1967 and we were really ignorant about cars. After awakening from the dream, I told Mom about what Dad had done and she immediately said, "Well then, we'll change the battery." We did--relatively simple task--and the car started right up.

I'd had one previous visit from him--he took me to visit heaven. Again, I do not recall him talking, only that he showed me around. Imagine green meadows and in the middle of it all was the brightest light imaginable but the light did not hurt one's eyes to look into it. I understood that this was God. This dream was only a few weeks after he'd died, and needless to say, I'd been pretty down about his death. I woke up happy, and told Mom. I've never feared death since.

My mom died a bit over two years ago, a victim of age and poor health. A couple of weeks after the funeral, I woke up recalling a dream in which Mom was looking at children, apparently she was adopting them. This struck me as weird, as Mom was nearly 86 when she'd died, and heck, she was dead. The dream baffled me until I got a note from an out of state aunt who had donated money to a local--in her state--children's home. I believe that Mom had been letting me know that she'd gotten safely to the other side and was getting on with the afterlife, and that she was checking on her new kids.

I do believe in life after death.

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
I've seen my mother and father in an occasional dream. I welcome it. It is my feeling that we can't have love and families etc. and the Creator (who I believe in) wouldn't let us see them again.

Re: Relatives who have passed visiting your dreams
Cool thread. I'm jealous of all of you who have had such dreams. I don't think I've ever dreamed of those I've lost.

Including my wife, who died last June. I woke up a few weeks ago and realized that if I could dream of her, it would be a good way to see her, to hear her voice, maybe touch her. I miss her so much, the realization made me weep, and I spent the whole day getting over it. Despite my best efforts to induce it, she never appears. We were together for 28 years.

I think if you see a loved one in a dream it's a gift, or a blessing, or maybe just incredibly good luck. Enjoy it if you can.
