Re: Meteor scan WTF!!!
I have been looking at the site for over a year on and off. Never seen this activity before. Sounds like a radio station is broadcasting a harmonic. With Sunspot activity on the rise, propagation becomes a real issue in radio science. So this could be a station anywhere on Earth, who's transmision is causing a harmonic, or echoe on other frequencies, to bounce or "skip" (propagate). Just a theory. This said , I'm keepin an eye on this.
p.s. Thanks for the audio link!

Thanks, looks to be fading out now.
it will be interesting to see if any reports of a big fireball start coming in...but more likely interference.

Yup, Have it wracked up in one of a few browsers. One thing I'm noticing is that most of the actual meteor tracks are in that same range. Kinda wierd.

Naa I'm sticking with some sort of harmonic skipping. Doesn't explain the actual traces being in that range thow.

Re: Meteor scan WTF!!!
Hope this helps you guys with the meteor scan frequency... We went through this a little over a month ago and this was the response from N.L.O.

I got an email back guys!

We've been observing the N.L.O. Live Meteor Detection where something has been coming in for almost two hours now...

Has something like this happened before?

We're also listening in at Spaceweatherradio.com and it is being detected there as well.

Any information would be greatly appreciated - thank you.

"This is the direct signal received from the over-the-horizon radar we use, caused by a natural phenomenon known as tropospheric propagation [link to en.wikipedia.org] This occurs on our system on average about 3 or 4 times a year and typically lasts 1 – 2 days on each occasion. It is an indication of radio “lift” conditions in western Europe."

Re: Meteor scan WTF!!!
Perhaps it has something to do with this:

X-FLARE: Sunspot AR1598 erupted on Oct. 23rd at 0322 UT, producing a strong X1-class solar flare.

Radiation from the flare created waves of ionization in the upper atmosphere over Asia and Australia (the daylit side of Earth) and possibly HF radio blackouts at high latitude

that signal oscillates between 1000 and 1100 hertz

to me, it's as if we are being 'sprayed' by something, for want of better terminology

could this be a pre supernova signal, from one of the nearby supernova candidates, as an alternative to the sun thing?

Re: Meteor scan WTF!!!
Just want to throw this into the discussion. I have no opinion on it.

There has been an incredible increase in UFO sightings in the last days.

Thoughts and comments please. Remember I am not on either side on this theory, but certainly open minded and interested.

Thanks.

Living about 10 miles from this site I can watch the trace live and also my spectrum analyser at the same time, 90% of the hits can been seen to be interference, this is well known to the site owner who just ignores this, FALSE SCIENCE it should be published on the net as a scam, there is a delay of 1 minute or so on the web picture to confuse watchers.
