if they know an event is coming, a huge, headfuck of an event, simply power down EVERYTHING, for the duration of the event, and when it passes, switch it back on.

simple.

i don't buy this doom at all sorry. it's just another thing to keep us in an constant state of fear, keeping our minds off what will really get us all.
