Any object seen from Neumayer Station would also be seen in many places in the southern hemisphere, such as Australia... Not necessarily. Different locations entirely. No it isn't. No matter how many times that lie is repeated it won't to true. Anything seen there could easily been seen from many locations in the southern hemisphere. Neumayer Station is only at 70° S latitude. Even if an object were directly overhead viewed from the South Pole (90° S latitude), and you were in Canberra, Australia (35° S latitude), the object would still be 35 degrees above the horizon as viewed from Canberra. It is precisely because it is fashionable for Americans to know no science, even though they may be well educated otherwise, that they so easily fall prey to nonsense.
