The whole idea is absurd.

When you do something in someones name your are doing it on thier behalf.

Why would you pray to god on behalf of god. It makes no sense.

it is commonly said in the Bible "In my Father's name" when healing or doing something in the name of God or "In the name of the Father, Son, Holy Ghost" for baptism, etc.
