The problem stems from mixing Old Testament prophecy concerning Jesus' first appearance 2000 years ago with John's Revelation of things still yet to come.

For instance Daniel said 500 or so years before Christ that all Jews would be gathered together in Judea at the time Crist was to come. That already happened. Caesar decreed every person in Roman held terretory had to return to his birthplace for the census. That's why Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem. Joseph was from Bethlehem. Every Jew in the known world was in Judea at the time of Christ's birth just like Daniel said they would be. Then Daniel went on further to state that within a generation(40 years) the King would be crowned and take his seat as supreme ruler. That happened 33 years later at the ressurection, again, just as Daniel said it would.

You can't take that prophecy and apply that to today. It already happened and is over and done with. Yet the Hagees and Van Impes still do it causing nothing but confusion.
