Would you give Judas a second chance?
"Now the festival of the unfermented cakes, the so-called Passover, was getting near. 2 Also, the chief priests and the scribes were seeking the effective way for them to get rid of him, for they were in fear of the people. 3 But Satan entered into Judas, the one called Is·car′i·ot, who was numbered among the twelve; 4 and he went off and talked with the chief priests and [temple] captains about the effective way to betray him to them. 5 Well, they rejoiced and agreed to give him silver money. 6 So he consented, and he began to seek a good opportunity to betray him to them without a crowd around." If Satan entered him, seems to me it wasnt actually him betraying Jesus. And he did feel sorry about it afterwards, saying "I have killed innocent blood!"

Like these guys?
"Woe to YOU, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because YOU resemble whitewashed graves, which outwardly indeed appear beautiful but inside are full of dead men’s bones and of every sort of uncleanness. 28 In that way YOU also, outwardly indeed, appear righteous to men, but inside YOU are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.
29 “Woe to YOU, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because YOU build the graves of the prophets and decorate the memorial tombs of the righteous ones, 30 and YOU say, ‘If we were in the days of our forefathers, we would not be sharers with them in the blood of the prophets.’ 31 Therefore YOU are bearing witness against yourselves that YOU are sons of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Well, then, fill up the measure of YOUR forefathers.

I am of the unconventional opinion that Judas loved Christ very much and tried to save Him..but was betrayed by the Sanhedrin..at least that is my opinion..I think Judas tried to strike a deal with them to obtain banishment in exchange for letting Him live..

Poor Judas rose forever condemned by others opinion

Here's how Jehovah reveals it;
" Then one of the twelve, the one called Judas Is·cariot, went to the chief priests  and said: “What will YOU give me to betray him to YOU?” They stipulated to him thirty silver pieces. 16 So from then on he kept seeking a good opportunity to betray him.
On the first day of the unfermented cakes the disciples came up to Jesus, saying: “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the passover?”  He said: “Go into the city to So-and-so and say to him, The Teacher says, ‘My appointed time is near; I will celebrate the passover with my disciples at your home.’”  And the disciples did as Jesus ordered them, and they got things ready for the passover.
20 When, now, it had become evening, he was reclining at the table with the twelve disciples.  While they were eating, he said: “Truly I say to YOU, One of YOU will betray me.”  Being very much grieved at this, they commenced each and every one to say to him: “Lord, it is not I, is it?”  In reply he said: “He that dips his hand with me in the bowl is the one that will betray me.  True, the Son of man is going away, just as it is written concerning him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of man is betrayed! It would have been finer for him if that man had not been born.”  By way of reply Judas, who was about to betray him, said: “It is not I, is it, Rabbi?” He said to him: “You yourself said [it].” Mt26:14

..Of course - he repented.

Mat 27:1 When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus to put him to death:
Mat 27:2 And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.
Mat 27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
Mat 27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.

Mat 27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.

Did he really hang himself or did he have help? Sounds like a little more than a hanging to me.

Act 1:16 Men and brethren, this scripture must needs have been fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost by the mouth of David spake before concerning Judas, which was guide to them that took Jesus.
Act 1:17 For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry.
Act 1:18 Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out.
Act 1:19 And it was known unto all the dwellers at Jerusalem; insomuch as that field is called in their proper tongue, Aceldama, that is to say, The field of blood.

I know what is said..I am saying I dont agree..

Firstly..how does anyone know what Judas said to the Sanhedrin? Did someone go with Judas? hardly likely..or did Judas tell the rest? unlikely..so who overheard the conversation?

As to betrayal..yes he did betray..he went behind Jesus back to the Sanhedrin..what I am saying..considering the outcome and the kiss in the garden..is that in my opinion he didnt go to betray him as to have him silenced and killed..I think that it was vox populi that they were after Christ..they wanted Him dead.. he also admits to it..I believe ..when He says that he was to leave and avoid being arrested etc...because it bwasnt His time yet..

When Mary Magdalene annointed Him..she used the perfumes..for the dead..she was annointing Him for burial..because she probably foresaw that there wouldnt be time..so out of love she did it before..

It was known imo that there was a death sentence on Christs head..so I think Judas went behind Christs back..to strike a deal with the sanhedrin..like I said..for banishment..but in exchange His life would be spared..

these are just my opinions..so I fully understand that you dont agree

Re: Would you give Judas a second chance?
In the Aquarian Gospel, Judas was not betraying his Master but setting up a meeting... however, Jesus made it clear to all what was really going on.. and that Judas should proceed.

When Jesus said, one of you will betray me.. he was giving an order, not a prophesy.

Even though the foul intelligence that WAS satan (he's dead now, and his consciousness split into a thousand parts) manipulated the mob, even thought he had won, the real mastermind behind the entire karmic manipulation that was the Crucifixion and Resurrection, was Jesus Himself.

I dont know..good question though..

That would be typical ..they were too cowardly to accompany the Master to the cross and to be with Him during His last hours but they murdered Judas?

Cowards..they have gone down in history for what they were..cowards..that thought more of avoiding being arrested..than to accompany Him through His ordeal..

Only the Grace of God could have upheld His faith till the last..all those years of preaching..all the followers and worshipers..and all gone..only three women at the foot of the cross

cowards..

If Judas had lived..he would have been there..in my opinion

You have heard that it was said, "You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy."
But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

No...and even your question suggests you do not know the Bible. Judas CANNOT be forgiven.

John 17 describes him as the "son of perdition" - he was Satan incarnate...here is something else...Judas comes back on the scene...Judas is "THE" anti-Christ!

Wow - somebody needs to do some serious Bible study.

You are wrong on all counts.

Really? Please read the link I provided! Judas was described as the "son of perdition." The only other description is the "man of sin" in Thessalonians. Acts 1 says that Judas "went to his own place" - no other person is described as having such a judgement. Simply saying "wrong on all counts" is meaningless...please back it up.

Re: Would you give Judas a second chance?
Why did he kiss Him op?

So the guards would recognize him? lol

as if Jesus could go unnoticed..He was allegedly way taller than anyone..and stood out in any crowd..

And everyone knew Him didnt they op?

Everyone talked about Him..

He was a threat..thats why they had to silence Him..

So why did Judas kiss Jesus op?

"Acts 1 says that Judas "went to his own place" - no other person is described as having such a judgement."

Please learn to read:

Act 1:23 And they appointed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias.
Act 1:24 And they prayed, and said, Thou, Lord, which knowest the hearts of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen,

Act 1:25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

That verse was talking about the new apostle taking his place - in place of Judas. Not talking about Judas at all.

'Son of perdition' and 'man of sin' is the antichrist (not Judas) and he has not showed up at this time.
