Cloud Atlas Pub Calendar, no spoilers

yes I saw it, looked like it had 4 dates circled in read, one of them was the 4th. Don't know the month.

Wasn't that great of a movie.

No there was another calendar the type that you rip the days off each day. I saw it pop up twice in the background but not for sure the date. Wanted to see if anyone else caught it.

I saw the dates on the calendar that are circled in red. The calendar is for September 1973 and the days circled are 4, 9,20,28. Anyone know the significance?

in my opinion its a date: 4th Sept. 2028...
it will be Monday so it will be a Labor Day (any association of ideas?)...
Anyway, in the 1973 Sept. at real calendar is not start with friday,
so in the 1973 Sept. 4 is not monday and not labor day but in the scene, its monday :) you can check again the film....
I guess they point the year 2028 Sept.

other weird things:
-20 Sept. 2028 its Ros HaSanah day (Wednesday)
-28 Sept. 2028 its Yom Kippur day (actually its 29 Sept.)
- 4 Sept. 2028 its Labor Day (Monday)

And my theory is that: in 4 September 2028, there will be Nuclear accident or something...

In the movie, you have to listen carefully the dialogues when you see the calendar and numbers :)

Just noticed, in the background, as Luisa Rey is talking to Joe Napier, that the calendar has four dates circled: 04, 09, 20, 28.

The confusion is probably because some people are on the NJR calendar and others are not.

you know Neo's passport expired on 09/11/01... this film made at 1999... and 9/11 happened at 2001... (2 years later) this is just a little clue. there are a lot of signs and stuffs...
and we all only understood these signs after the things happened... but, if you watch closely from now on, you can see the signs and understand the things gonna be happen...

in this movie (i mean Cloud Atlas) i strongly believe they show us something will be happen...

in the scene you can see the calender: Sept. 1973... and you can see the days: sunday, monday, tuesday etc... this is a huge film and they dont want to make any mistake. so, can you believe this calender made wrong? Check real 1973 calendar, and look the days: [link to www.rocketcalendar.com]
then look back the calendar in the scene... you will see the calender do not overlap with the real one.
and look again in scene. you will see some red circle for some numbers: 4 9 20 28
these days should be important right? Why you sign your calender? you sign your calender for important days right?
and there is no important days at 4 sept. 1973, 9 sept. 1973, 20 sept. 1973, 28 sept. 1973... look again: [link to www.rocketcalendar.com] (its only 3 of sept in 1973 is important cuz its Labor Day in USA, cuz its first Monday of Sept.)

and i think this scene point us to 2028 calender.

4 Sept. 2028: Labor Day
20 Sept. 2028: important date for jews
29 Sept. 2028: important date for jews

you might ask 29 sept. why? if your important day begins after sunshine what would you do to don't miss? Of course you would sign 1 day before. Lets look again the scene. You really look carefully the days and numbers. which day is in which number.

Its not 1973, its 2028 period.

And also you must listen the conversation in this scene. what are they talking about in front of this calendar? A NUCLEAR ACCIDENT (intentional)...

so, you should watch carefully the movie again. and try to understand something (i dont mean only the calender, you can focus other cases).
