Forgot what kittens are all about! | |
| Anonymous Coward User ID: 20096481 10/27/2012 07:13 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Congrats on giving another kitty a home and a family to love her. There are so many out there needing homes. We always keep our home at "cat-pacity" for that reason. We lost my kitty's inseparable love in August, and found him a new companion a few weeks ago. They are slowly becoming friends, not at the sleeping in a heap stage yet. I think if you just give them time to get used to each other, all will be fine, and bonds will be formed. It's important to keep reassuring your Brad that you still love him the most, that he's still the Big King of the house, lol. Kittens are very playful, and little CCMM will likely test Brad's boundaries. But unless Brad's super territorial and aggressive, they will work things out just fine, and you'll get to enjoy watching them play and become pals. Good luck! |

We brought home a shelter cat last year and he tore up so many things until we had posts all over the house. Now he behaves and is a lot more calm. He's gigantic and doesn't fit in the little nooks anymore but he still sits on top of it. He's an orange tabby so naturally.. he's huge. Also, don't forget that when you're getting food there's a difference in the foods, kittens need kitten food. A can of wet food once a week seems to keep our cat happy too. She has warned that if we do get another cat there's just an adjustment period. After a few months their cats were buddies. Normally I would never recommend harming a feral cat, but you can't risk this one with an evil monster running around. If you livetrapped him, you would just be giving someone else the same problem. If you dumped him far away from any houses, he would become coyote bait and the humane society would just kill him anyway. Good luck with the kitten. |

Brad is used to sleeping with my daughter Ami, but Chicky seems to like it too, who should get the bed at this stage of the relationship? |

He is adorable and acts like a dog sometimes, but he has been very dominate over our larger tabby. Squirt guns work, and give you an excuse to go buy a bad ass Nerf/super Soaker. I'm alpha male of the house, so when I hear the cats fighting I stomp like a gorilla until the cats freak the fuck out and I grab minion by the scruff and pick him up hard enough for him to know I'm BOSS. Then he starts to purr. He's a weirdo, especially because he has a favorite stuffed animal monkey. |

I'm going to get a gun :) Chicky is frisky and playful, and so far Brad hasn't attacked her, but keeps hanging around outside. ![]() |

When he's not harassing the 15 year old cat, he's looking for something to shred, pounce on or bite. Ignores all the toys because knocking stuff off the shelves is way more entertaining. He's locked out of the bedroom at night because I can't take the punctures and scratches on my bare feet anymore because he attacks the covers ALL night long. I play with him a lot but he has two speeds, sleeping or psycho. And just what is up with juvenile cat hygiene? I swear he smells like ass, a LOT. I've washed his bum and it returns hours or a day later. |

Nothing like a kitten or a puppy to give a light heart :) |
