Bayou Corne Sinkhole No fire in bayou corne. Intellecast.com is showing a fire about 35 miles west of here. Dont know whats up with that but you can see for yourself on the link ill post. You have to turn on "wildfire detection" at the top of the map. [link to www.intellicast.com]

Bayou Corne Sinkhole No rain here today. A little yesterday. I surely hope this isnt methane related. I guess we will have to wait and see :( I thank everyone for their prayers. They are much appreciated.

NO DOUBT!!!! That's my next question! WTF are they doing burning anything in Assumption right now? because YES there is a fire there, and it says 'croplands.' Still looking into it. Check the link a few comments up...ALL those plumes are coming from the Gulf Coast area! What the hell!

Again...here are the plumes...YOU tell ME...from what i can see on the maps, most of these areas are wildlife refuges.

One of the entries shows cropland with a HIGH fire danger in Assumption . . . wouldn't it seem there would be an absolute ban on ANY burning in Assumption or anywhere near there?

Yes, there was and still is a burn ban in effect in Assumption currently. It was issued a couple of weeks ago and remains in effect.
