PravdaDemocrat User ID: 19228212 United States 10/28/2012 09:16 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Silver's blog today says that "Romney's momentum has stopped", and he predicts an electoral college victory for Obama with 295 votes to Romney's 242. His odds for winning are 74% Obama and 26% Romney, and that gap is widening, just like on Intrade. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26182431 [link to fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com] By way of background, Silver started running a politics blog and successfully predicted 49 of 50 states' electoral votes the 2008 election (he missed Indiana) as well as correctly calling all 35 Senate elections. Silver also told you that there was NO WAY Dems would lose control of Congress in 2010, and there was NO WAY Scott Walker would win the recall. |

Silver also told you that there was NO WAY Dems would lose control of Congress in 2010, and there was NO WAY Scott Walker would win the recall. Here you are spewing more unsubstantiated bullshit. Silver stated the following on 24 May 2012: "Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin, a Republican, is likely to survive a recall election on June 5, according to recent nonpartisan polls of the state. Mr. Walker leads his Democratic opponent, Mayor Tom Barrett of Milwaukee, by an average of six percentage points in those polls and has not trailed in any poll since February." [link to fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com] Regarding the Democrats losing the house in 2010 (1 Nov 2010): "While our forecast and a good deal of polling data suggest that the Republicans may win the House of Representatives on Tuesday, perhaps all is not lost for the Democrats. Here’s one possible scenario for how things might not end up as expected." [link to fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com] |
