I at first thought that the moon was still out but it was the sun and seemed faded. I didnt hurt my eyes or anything. Granted ,it was overcast but even when the sun peeked out from the clouds it looked dull.

I can sun gaze for a short time at high noon without any eye protection for over a week anyway, and with mild eye protection before then. This started as I look over my records before mid sept, but I can't find yet, the actual date the started the huge change. Ok I think the date was September 17. Sun went from "artificial flashlight sun" to "turned off sun". But its wasnt a normal Sun. First time of my life that I saw a yellow sun, instead of an orange sun.

We have had more clouds here than sun, lately, but at noon today, with a beauteous deep blue clear sky without haze, it was a tad brighter, but I could still comfortably view it without eye protection, in fact , in fact more comfortably than last time. It always looks bright at noon, but before it was not possible to gaze it without 3 layers of dark protection. I need nothing to gaze it now.
