From another thread.

If the NWS didn't use "scare" tactics, then this would work: [link to rammb.cira.colostate.edu]

Re: National Weather Service Using Scare Tactics To Evacuate East Coast
They use the scare language because of jackasses who think it's no big deal. If you have never been through a hurricane with a storm surge, you have no idea what you are in for.

Rescue crews can only do so much once the fun starts. They are trying to save the lives of people like you, who say "Well, Irene wasn't a big deal".

Bottom line, Irene was a big deal, but fizzled out. This storm is a much bigger deal. If it fizzles out, great. Any forecaster will gladly take the abuse from the public over the lives saved if it doesn't weaken.

You can only cry "wolf" so many times before people stop listening to you.

Anyway, it's all about Authoritarian control over the sheeple. Got to get them used to being ordered about.

If I were in the affected area, I'd rather "shelter in place" than become a homeless vagabond in my car, ordered about by Armed authorities.

Let's face it - tptb can't do anything right.
If severe warnings aren't given and people die there will be those who cry 'conspiracy'. And, as we see, if there are warnings and evacuations, there will be accusations of false alarm and - 'conspiracy'!

You are right.

Those who want to see a conspiracy in everything will always find what they are looking for because they will create it whether the independent truth confirms it or not.

When nothing happens as they suggested they say nothing about their hunch or prediction that failed to materialize.

TPTB always play both sides; it's the Hegelian Dialectic. No matter which way we run, it will be in a direction they want. The reason some see a conspiracy in everything is because there really is.

We've seen too many false flags, too many cover-ups, too many baldfaced lies to accept what we are shown on the surface. The world is run by warring factions of the same team; it's arsenic vs. cyanide vs. however many other poisons you could name. We can't possibly know the big picture, or who ultimately gains from a given disaster. All we can really know is that the unwashed masses lose.

Very well stated. There is indeed conspiracy in everything.

Most dont realise this but we are and have been programmed since birth. Even the language we speak was given to us by society. Yet we think in language and pictures we dint create. Society is our extended mind. In kindergarten we are taught SPELL..INGS. This world is under a spell...under sorcery and they use numbers, symbols and planetary alignments to achieve their agendas and entrap us.

Yes there is a conspiracy and the rabbit hole is deeper than we think it is. It goes as identifying who we truly are originally without the influence of society on us.

Thx.

This is why my first official thread here was Thread: Spiritual "Prepper" Instructions . This game is rigged, but when it's over, we spend eternity wherever we chose, and to a degree we determined by how we played the game. It was never about us winning but about us choosing a winner.

Re: National Weather Service Using Scare Tactics To Evacuate East Coast
It seems that now the National Weather Service is trying to scare people into evacuating. Take a look at the link below.

[link to forecast.weather.gov]

Why do they want to evacuate everyone so badly? Remember when NYC was evacuated because of Hurricane Irene? It turned out to be a dud. So why all this now? Why do they need everyone out? This reminds me of Close Encounters of the Third Kind where they evacuated the area that aliens used to make contact by claiming there was anthrax in the air.

Turning peoples lives upside down to unnecessarily evacuate them is the big deal. Irene was supposed to be much bigger than this but nothing happened. I think is all a diversion. For what? Who knows.

Well I live right in the path of this storm and I've lived in this area for 26 years and I see what happens to the local rivers and lakes when we get inundated from rain from hurricanes... Sections of my town have had to be evacuated from severe flooding from local rivers in the past.

The weather service HAS to be harsh in their wording and warnings to the public because people will always have a tendency to downplay and ignore warnings, it's human nature. If the weather service was all professional sounding and non-emotional about it, no one would take safety measures to ensure their safety from the flooding. The other important factor is this. This storm is huge and affecting a huge portion of the NE. Emergency Responders are limited in their ability to help people because the area affected by this storm is so widespread. People in need of help may not be able to be reached in a timely manner. By being harsh the weather service and local states and municipalties absolve themselves of any blame/culpability from individuals who do not choose to take their own safety into their own hands.

For anyone who wants to allege a conspiracy here I would love to hear their well thought out argument as to exactly what is happening 'behind the scenes' and why. So far alll I've seen is ridiculous assertions like "Oh they created the storm to distract everyone so they could plant a nuke". Crap like that.

I have had a cat that is a stranger cat not my cat nor does it know us show up this morning at 3:48Am, it was screaming its head off.

Freaking panicking out of its head wanting my to let it in. I could hear it out there going from window to window screaming like a banshee .........let me in little piggies let me in. Or I will howl and I will bellow to you come out and get me.

The thing did not know how to uses the cat doors or was afraid to come through them and get attacked. It probably knew I have two cats that are old and hateful to other cats. They would have tag teamed the stranger cat and ate it up alive.

The thing acts like it knows us and is right at home.

It piled up in one of the swivel dinning room recliners curled up in a circle pile and went to sleep.

We are due blizzard snow effects.

As we are often reminded, TPTB "never let a good crisis go to waste". Regardless of the cause of any disaster, they will use it to their advantage. This is simple history and understanding the mindset of those who would be kings.

I fully understand the weather service's position. But this hardly means there can't be a conspiracy. The reason "proof" is rarely offered is because by its nature a conspiracy is covered in plausible deniability. They plan far ahead and have contingencies in place for a variety of scenarios. If they weren't capable of such planning, they'd hardly be qualified to run a government. The issue is whether they use those talents for good or evil, and I think there can be no doubt by now which one it is.

What makes this even more interesting is the President's forewarning. I do not recall getting forewarnings from the president during Irene and other storms. The warnings usually come from the agencies and MSM. This time however, it is different.

I'm certain they ordered this hurricane otherwise why would the president put his reputation on the line and warn about the seriousness of a storm when it hasnt hit yet and could possibly not tell how mother nature would behave? I mean, Irene turned out to not be an issue. Would the president still be credible if he had made an issue out of it?

Nature could fizzle out the whole thing but with Obama's warning last night, he seems to know what nature intends to do. Add to this the fact that this warning from him, if it turned out to be nothing, could affect his credibility and ruin his chances of winning the election just few days away from d day, then you will realise that he knows whats coming. You could also argue that elections will be the least of our worries by next week and the president knows this.

Sandy however was ordered and is the perfect cover for a number of things.

1. Dry Run or Flash Crash for NYSE before the real thing actually starts

2. The right cover for getting the major players to go underground or out of dodge without alerting the public because the S is HTF very shortly after.

3. A diversion from other bigger moves they are making.

However, the false flag is what actually brings the house of cards down....it is what starts the war they want not the hurricane. Watch out for this very, very soon.

Something tells me things will pick up speed from here on and by next week, even the sheeple will see the world is not normal.

The issue isn't the notion that there 'can't be a conspiracy'... It's that there is a contingent of people who are going to automatically conclude there's a 'conspiracy' regardless of the actual threat level from the storm. They want to find one, so they will.

They are telling people to leave because when the ocean rises 10ft over a 8ft strip of land with waves on top .. it generally floods.

This isn't Irene, and flooding has already occurred in some places.

They evacuate people out of valleys up here for flash floods -- telling people to seek higher ground. Must be sinster too huh? Even though the water is about to take away a neighborhood.

I totally agree; I believe this storm was artificially engineered and steered. But in this thread I'm emphasizing the point that TPTB will make use of it no matter what the cause, as a response to the argument that "no matter what the government does, people will say it's a conspiracy".

The issue isn't the notion that there 'can't be a conspiracy'... It's that there is a contingent of people who are going to automatically conclude there's a 'conspiracy' regardless of the actual threat level from the storm. They want to find one, so they will.

It really just seems like any other storm they report on. All they can do is watch the computer simulations and report on what seems to be the most likely thing to happen.

Unfortunately the weather can't really be accurately predicted. It is naturally unstable, it does what it does.

In the end, it's better to be prepared.

OhWell, don't overlook the context here as well... The president is up for re-election in the coming days. How many monster storms have hit like this just before a sitting president was up for re-election? He's going to want to portray himself as being very 'active' and 'engaged' on this issue for purposes of swaying public opinion in his favor. His campaign staff will urge him to operate in this manner so that he can use this disaster to garner public support and win over undecided voters. This context is why you will get the impression that this presidential involvement is anomalous or uncharacteristic. There's political incentive to capitalize on this event just before the election.

I agree. I've lived in Florida all my life. I've seen countless hurricanes. It's really not a big deal. Keep in mind the news media has sweeps week just like the regular TV networks do and this is in fact, sweeps week for the media.

This context is why you will get the impression that this presidential involvement is anomalous or uncharacteristic. There's political incentive to capitalize on this event.

There is and this is what they want people who haven't been paying attention to focus on. They want you to disregard the fact that you know they have sophisticated forecasting equipments, that there is an age old agenda for this planet, have scenarios planned well ahead of time for these kinds of events and have indeed been planning for this, that they operate with symbols, sorcery, planetary cycles, cosmic events - moon phases etc. Today also happens to be a full moon. Coincidence? I don't know but when major historical events have happened during moon cycles, then I should be worried.

I made a thread last week that there will be an event just before the elections that will make Obama look/act presidential and that there will not be elections. I was watching the debates at this time and thinking how ridiculous it was with each candidate supporting the other candidate's policies. I thought to myself that why are they even bothered with this campaign. To me, it appeared they were just stalling for something. It was just too ridiculous to be true or real. I thought all this stage managed drama wont matter after a while and this was why I made the thread.

Fast-forward a week later, with Sandy hurricane causing major damage, stock market closures, evacuation and power outages in many states, do you still a possibility of the elections holding and if held, will the results be free, fair and honoured? I am not saying I am psychic but when you know their agenda and study them to an extent, you can pretty much have some insights into what they are doing and saying without actually telling us.

Re: National Weather Service Using Scare Tactics To Evacuate East Coast
I believe this is an expansion of what I consider to be a bad policy implemented at the beginning of this year.

"Impact-based Warnings"

A policy that intentionally uses more graphic and frightening language to get the attention of the masses.

10 years ago, they would have said, "damaging winds", now it's "deadly winds", and in 10 more years they will probably say, "face-shredding winds".

I call it, "Contributing to the stupidity of a nation".

It really just seems like any other storm they report on. All they can do is watch the computer simulations and report on what seems to be the most likely thing to happen.

Unfortunately the weather can't really be accurately predicted. It is naturally unstable, it does what it does.

In the end, it's better to be prepared.
Who doesn't agree with that?

You don't have an argument when you say that:" they said this last time and nothing happened". They may not get it right and be batting 10 % but it is their job to motivate the voters and tax payers to get out of harms way. They are doing their jobs and covering their butts. The other problem : maybe "last time" you dodged a bullet and the storm missed you by a hundred miles or it didn't hit on a full moon high tide.

It's a thing call the Plainfield Syndrome. It's the idea that it's better to issue too many warnings and be wrong then to miss that one crucial warning at the cost of human life.

That's why they man Irene such a big deal and sure wasn't as bad as they thought in new york but other place got it bad.

So if the NWS issues a warning and you don't want to follow it and it is as bad as they said then you can't say they didn't warn you.

They want to get rid of as many pairs of eyes on location as possible. Fewer camcorders, fewer witnesses.

Also, don't forget to keep watching everything else; this storm could be a diversion, possibly for New Madrid.
