I love them. I have one on each of my inner forearms. Got them for their Christian meaning.

most tattoos mean nothing, they are just owed to the trendy "Zeitgeist".

you'd better reflect on what will be written on your tombstone.

Same here!

"Trendy"? SURE, they've only been around for what, 5,000 years or so.

Some people think classic cars are "chick magnets(?)" because somehow they make a statement about their owner or something? Now THAT'S funny. But honestly to each their own. It's a big world with lots of people, for every mind a different heart, and "no man is my enemy 'til he crashes down my door" still stands with me.

ill never regret mine. i was 40 before i got my first. if people end up regretting then they should never have got them in the first place, or never had a bf/gf/wife/husbands name inked on themselves, now that is stupid, especially if you havent even been together 5 minutes

tattoos arent a fad, really. been going too long for it to be a fad. theyre pretty much mainstream like ear piercing these days

tattoos are cool beside those idiots that overkill it. I really don't see why some people take them so offensive or are disgusted by them. Unless you have a giant cock on your forehead, who cares?

Boet...think about that tattoo on your chest when you get to like 40...That rose is going to look like a Bougainvillaea...old saying behind the boerewors curtain.

And your kids will ask... 'Dad were you a member of the corny gangnam style culta?...You will deny it...three times I tell ya!!!

That's why I never got a tattoo. Our bodies change over time. As I said previously, I exercise hard as a form of body expression. I can always live it that as the years go by.

It really depends on the idea, the artist, and if it fits you.

It needs to compliment the body, and in some cases it does.

Re: Tattoo's Love Them or Hate Them?
The scriptures tell us not to make permanent marks or scars on our bodies. I tend to stick with that for myself.. Also, I was raised in an age when "maybe" a tattoo on a man "might" be a touch accepted, especially if it was a Marine or Naval Unit he was a member of, or such. But tattoo's on women still, to this day - totally turn me off! I think they look cheap and most women I've ever met who had or have tattoos, have always been tramps (for some reason or another.) To have a tattoo where it actually shows on a man or a woman is to limit your career choices. No matter how high your grades are from your college transcripts, major firms are not going to hire someone with visible tattoos. Period. Not for any executive position or even lower management! I know of a young man who was refused a slot at a major medical school residency program because, when he was interviewed in person, he was found to have a "full sleeve" tattoo on his right arm. It was as tasteful as such things can be, mainly obscure tribal/asian symbols. No words or vulgar sayings or "mother" or "Mary" etc. Just a large full-arm tattoo.

The physicians who interviewed him and who ultimately refused his entry into the program - commented privately to me that "...how would a potential patient feel entrusting their body/health/maybe even their child's health to a man who was so foolish as to permanently mark his own body with such symbols, and to do so to such an extent that he could not cover them completely even with a long-sleeved shirt!

The young aspiring doc eventually figured it out and used some very heavy stage make-up on his hand and wrist to conceal what his shirt sleeve might reveal and finally got into a residency program. As soon as he got friendly with a professor of Dermatology, he arranged to have his "full sleeve tattoo" removed by a series of laser treatments that (if he'd been forced to pay for them) would have cost hundreds of times more than he paid to place the tattoo in the first place!

I like the two I have. They're not large. Not a tramp stamp.

Shamrocks on my inner wrists. I don't regret getting them.

I'd be more prone to regret if I'd gotten a sleeve or some large piece that was out in the open for all to see.

Brief, stop making me feel like a dirty, govt cheese eating convict. cruise
And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin, then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it.
