All liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Rev. 21:8)

OP you have been caught out lying several times haven't you? Enjoy the lakes!

Selective interpretations of the words don't change things.

Do you understand how concordances work?

Using Strong's concordance H7451 evil is the predominant meaning.

I'm sure I saw you saying that the King James Version is the only version to use. If I am wrong I apologise.

The KJV uses "evil"!

What is to stop some believer adding a more palatable meaning because they can't face the fact that it is in the book.

People try to change the word slave to manservant because they can't believe GOD would approve of slavery. Yet selling your child into slavery is a part of Mosaic (rubbish) law.

For the tender souls who think selling your child into manserventry is any better they need to rethink.

Your children aren't possessions so selling them into anything is just not an option!

GOD wouldn't agree to selling your children and yet Moses says it's fine...

Hmmm I wonder who I'll believe?

i'm in seminary college, and have studied informally for 17+ years as well. i rarely use the KJV. rarely, and never.

That is why I apologised in advance... Sometimes I'm wrong.

So which version is your version of choice?

well, i operate from a variety of sources. comparisons seems to be the way to go with some tricky translations. i generally use the NLV and the amplified as well as refer to mechanical translations when i really want a deep understanding
