Quoting: Blue Skies The surveying of what happened as only just begun :( The flooding is bad in many areas yes and the point of this thread is not to take away from the damage and problems people are facing because of this storm. The point of this thread is to point of the underlying reasons of this possibly man-made storm. 1- Logistics 2- Who's going to be prepared 3- What are people in big cities like New York City going to do when facing evacuation orders? 4-How will the emergency preparedness teams respond. 5- How many people will now not vote 6- Show off the bright side of FEMA living. 7- Transportation 8- Elections Weather Weapons are great aren't they? www.youtube.com/clandestinetimelord |

EVIL_BEAN_KID User ID: 26635811 United States 10/30/2012 09:39 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | it was a dud. the only thing epic about sandy was the FAIL. im in upstate NY, we had no loss of power, minor winds, very little rain. total bullshit! rest assured they are exagurating every statistic post sandy. the loss of life, number of people without power. they are desperately trying to cover thier asses by continueing to hype the storm damage. SLAM THAT CLAM |
Calvert User ID: 19199066 United States 10/30/2012 09:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Since you apparently don't know the meaning of the word "possible," let's walk through this slowly: For any major weather event, there are going to be a range of possible outcomes. With a storm of this complexity, those outcomes are even more uncertain. A "worst-case" scenario may have a low probability, but you still have to prepare for it because if it catches you with your pants down, you're screwed. If the worst-case scenario is, say, 10% probable, you can go through 10 of those and it will only happen once. When it doesn't happen, mathematically illiterate idiots like you say, "See, I was right not to evacuate!" or "Media hype!" or "Psyops! THEY wanted us to think it would be worse!" The tenth time, of course, your pathetic ass is on the phone begging the fire department to come rescue you, and blaming everyone for not warning you harder. Rinse, repeat. |

It was windy, rained for a while, and flooded some areas. That shit happens when we have any bad storm, minus some asshole news reporters standing in the ocean telling us how "dangerous" it is. We were meant to live for so much more, have we lost ourselves? |

Really? lol 60000 National Guard troops ready, for what? About the 17 reported deaths ... In ANY 24 hour period there are going to be a certain number of deaths in a high-density population area. What's weird this time is how LITTLE DETAIL there is about the deaths! I've read a lot of weather disaster news in the past 30 years and what I'm missing this time is an accounting of HOW the deaths occurred. Typically there will be a short blurb for each (washed away in flooded river, hit by falling tree, car accident) or at least the phrase "17 deaths attributed to the storm". This time there's not even that. Also about 90% of the "news" is about things done to prep for the storm: "store aisles empty" "markets shut down" "evacuations" "schools closed" There's something weirdly different about this one. Anyone else noticing this? Has ANYONE seen an accounting of how the deaths occurred? |
