The job of Wiring Manhattan is almost coplete...  Yep. Easier to get things done when people aren't around with their terrorist camcorders. I thought it noteworthy that after all that time gathering steam, growing larger and advancing slowly toward its "target" it then suddenly sped up, dumped it's load and petered out. I'd listen to an explanation for that if there is one.

I saw one sequence where there were radar "blotches" all along the left/west edge of the storm as it moved north, almost as if it was being prevented from landfall till it got far enough. I saw those blotches on both Wakefield VA and Sterling VA NWS radar sites yesterday. Don't know what to make of those kind of things.
