Wow this is a huge development while an er nurse I did see a broken vertebrae from a stab wound from in the back in a guy who was stabbed during a robbery.

I truly believe she didn't do it.

Devil is in the details. Slitting your own throat, as the mother described wouldn't shatter a vertebrae, if it did surely the jugular or windpipe would have to be completely severed, not a survivable wound. Something isn't right here, apparently the nanny refuses to speak to the police but has been asking doctors about her own family. She must have been hysterical to be put into a coma. My heart goes out to the family but something isn't right. I wonder if Kevin Krim will still testify? I feel like a total shit speculating at this point but if there was a setup surely that's exactly what they would want to happen.

Also, on another site no mention of the mother actually witnessing the nanny slit her throat but a curious quote from the superintendent:

A neighbour heard the mother's screams and called 911. She said she also could hear the building's superintendent, who had arrived on the scene, yelling: "You slit her throat! You slit her throat!"

So, series of events, neighbour hears screams, calls 911. Who was the superintendent screaming at though?

It says the girl was trying to fend off the attacker so I assume if the nanny was the perp her dna would sadly be under the little girls nails.

This is almost as believable as somebody shooting themselves in the back of the head two or three times.

So in your opinion could a survivable self-inflicted wound do this? Also, from the few pics I've seen the wound begins on the front of her neck.

It did not say the stab wounds were the cause of the vertebrae breaking one would assume maybe she broke it trying to kill the kids somehow some way? Although I dont know how much fight the little girl put up. It also could have been from somebody attacking her then killing the kids and fleeing I don't know but this s is getting deeper.

She was probably defending them from the men in black.

I saw the pics I am sure the stabbing did not cause the breaking of the vertebrae there is no way, I would *assume* her vertebrae was broken during a scuffle. 1) It broke when she was killing the kids assuming the 5yo was fighting for her life this would depend totally on the nannys weight height and which angle she came at the kids with the knife. 2) She was injured by *inturder killer* who gave her a good body blow to that region. I hope the investigators don't the easy road here but for some reason I think they will.

She was on the floor. Maybe when she threw herself on the floor she shattered her vertebrae.

That is not out of the question it takes a very sudden donward force to break shatter or otherwise injure a vertebrae which is why it is common in diving accidents.

No the 6 yr. old received defensive wounds. The mother wrapped a towel around the nanny's neck to stop the blood flow, then ran out. And the mother isn't the one who called the police.

Ms Starr heard the mans voice who she ID'd as the superintendent screaming you slit her throat. If this is the case who was the super screaming at? the nanny? the mother? Did the children die of stab wounds or throat slit. Will autopsies be released publicly? This is fucking horrible to discuss but something doesn’t seem right.

Radar online is reporting that her vertebrae broke when she slit her throat thats a new one on me, although I am sure the best doctors will say it is entirely possible.

Depends which vertebrae. I know someone who fell and fractured number L-6 and 7, which is the lumbar. It is toward the lower back. Does not take a downward force to injure the lower vertebrae. Divers fracture C-1, etc., cervical, which causes paralysis. With 6 and 7 it's very painful but it heals with time. So, depending on which vertebrae, there may not have been a downward force.

Reports were the mom was putting compression on the nannys wounds I doubt she flipped I think she was acting out of pure shock. If I was in that situation I would have most likely killed her though.

The mother was in shock. I don't believe at that point she even thought it all out. The only thing that was in her mind were her children. She didn't say in the apartment very long at all. She went screaming down to the lobby.

I can tell you from firsthand knowledge, the first reports of something like this are always 70% wrong. And so are the second and third, etc., reports. The press and tv media gets so much, even minor, unimportant details, wrong.
