No, this move is far more than seeking votes. The way a president wins and remains in power is through manipulating public perception. He had 4 years to do this and could have if he wanted to buy creating jobs etc.. Instead, he's simply done what the PTB wanted him to do. If he didnt heal the economy in 4 years, then an event far greater than job creation is gonna be at play soon because it appears that this is where the attention of the PTB is focussed upon.
