Years ago a grandfather in my neighborhood was convicted of raping his 8-year-old granddaughter. Being a small town, it was big news. He lasted 3 weeks in prison before he was anally raped by a broomstick, rupturing his colon, and he bled to death.

No doubt, the guy is a scumbag, a tremendeous moral failure. But I think that's part of the story.
