It's one thing to identify and isolate the freaks before the commit the ultimate crime -- because often times they start out with smaller crimes but nonetheless exhibit consistent pattern of pathology often from childhood...

,,,and of curse once the horrible crime is committed, they need to be locked away in prison or in prison psych facility for a long time.

However, that does NOT make it ok to cheer for public torture fests or executions like they had in Medieval Erupe or in most primitive Muslims/African societies.... or, applaud the other scum of the earth in prison to have a card blanche to rape and torture of the sick individuals in our prisons.

2) with regard to prison, first they start tormenting the murderers... then any felons... then pretty soon anybody with misdemeanor or outright innocent, is fair play for the prison's resident gangs & sadists. The whole barbed-wire-in-the-rectum or the ol' "Human Toilet" staple only SOUNDS fun if it' done to someone else.

3) by foregoing due process, justice system and other trappings of Advanced Human Civilization because of "special curcumstances"..... you are empowering TOTALITARIAN tendencies inherent in all governments. So next time, a government is afraid of a dangerous individual, all all they have to do is, say, frame them for a petty crime --- put him/her in jail, and let "Prison Justice" take care of things. Hell, that's part of how Gulag and all sorts of King's prisons worked throughout history.

Either way, believe me, none of you want to return to those simpler times of "Mob Judge, Jury, Executioner" pervesion of the concept of Justice.

Well said!! And while I am sickened by this horrible crime perpetrated on the ultimate of innocence, I still want this person to be brought to justice under a civilized society's laws. Regardless of what justice is meted out to this man, he will ultimately have to answer to a higher power. And that higher power knows and sees all and judges accordingly.
