"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, you've heard a lot here today and I won't try to go back over it all. But you have to go back in that room and make some decisions and there is one thing I want to make very clear to you before you do. I'm not trying to convince you that you should like what Larry Flynt does. I don't like what he does. But what I do like is... that I live in a country... where you and I can make that decision for ourselves. I like that I live in a country where I can pick up Hustler magazine... read it if I want... or throw it in the trash, if that's where I think it belongs. Or better yet I can express my opinion by not buying it. I like that right. I care about it. And you should care about it, too... because we live in a free country. We say that a lot, but sometimes we forget what that means, so listen again. We live in a free country. That is a powerful idea. That's a magnificent way to live. But there is a price for that freedom, which is that sometimes... we have to tolerate things that we don't necessarily like. So go back in that room... where you are free to think whatever you want to think... about Larry Flynt and Hustler magazine. But then ask yourselves if you want to make that decision for the rest of us... because the freedom that everyone in this room enjoys... is, in a very real way, in your hands. If we start throwing up walls against what some of us think is obscene... we may wake up one morning and realize... that walls have been thrown upin places we never expected... and we can't see anythingor... do anything. And that's not freedom. That is not freedom. So, be careful. Thank you."

Where you at Phenn? No details necessary, just general. I grew up in Lancaster and was there (pretty young) during the '79 event. You think the old beast will hold? I haven't heard any specific predictions for that area. Many summer days water-skiing right past that place :)

We have line crews that left from KS at 4am Sat. They were there this morning. Haven't heard if they are able to work yet but I bet they have to wait for the winds to calm before going up in the bucket to work on anything.

Those guys will make more than 10K a week working 17 to 18 hr days until power is restored. They are required by law to take at least 6hrs rest per 24hr period.

PHENN, LOOK AT THOS POST ON ANTHER THREAD FROM A SWEDIXH POSTER ON GLP;

Millstone takes precautions

The Millstone Power Station in Waterford, located on Long Island Sound, is closely monitoring the storm and has been installing flood barriers around the plant in case the storm surge is higher than anticipated, Ken Holt, spokesman for Millstone owner Dominion, said Sunday.

The Unit 2 nuclear reactor at the plant is shut down for routine refueling, but Unit 3 is expected to continue operating through the storm, he said.

"There does not appear to be a need at this time to take it off line," he said. "But we are watching the storm track closely."

I think we might be missing something. I been through alot of cyclones, Tracey, Althea, Larry, and this is something different. Sharks swimming down the streets and the storm not even there yet. Ibet there hasn't even been insects around for days, they would be hiding.
This could be it.
Phen, Have you got Glp back up in another country if needed?

Lots of wind and rain here in southern adams county. Still have power on, yay!!! And no damage on my property, yet. I am surprised as usually one gust of wind will bring down a tree on my pasture fence. Guess I will find out when daylight comes again.

Keeping my fingers crossed!
