Seattle Area SWAT Teams Swarm Ferry In Unique Terrorism Drill

SEATTLE —

In a drill that law enforcement agencies are calling the first of its kind, SWAT teams dropped from choppers onto a moving ferry to simulate a response to a terrorist takeover.

Washington State Patrol Lieutenant Ron Mead said the drill is a joint operation between the Coast Guard, WSP, King County Sheriff’s Office and Seattle police.
