Yes there is damage and I feel sorry for what happened. But was this worse than Katrina or Irene? I am not making a trivial pass at the storm. I am making a reference to the fact that Obama and his handlers do not care that much about the people they are now pretending to protect by forewarning about a storm that didn't turn out as hyped. I am saying that there has to be something behind this storm. Is that too hard for you to understand?

too early to tell how devastating this storm actually is, currently im running on a generator, 2 houses down people just moved in n a tree fell on their car and power lines. every now n then i see blue flashes from transformers blowing up and this is north of nyc, nyc and the jersey shore were hit the hardest

Not making a trivial point of the storm per se. They (Obama and the MSM) initially reported flooding which will last for days.

There are mixed reports about how the storm has affected several areas.

Going by the receding floods we are now seeing and these reports, the initial hype seemed unwarranted.

However I am saying that this is not all. It was serious enough for Obama to put his credibility on the line to forewarn of the hurricane. So I am saying that for those who think this is it, I am saying there could be more.

2nd, No, I'm not saying the south is less important than the north eastern seaboard. BUT, there are more people concentrated in that little area than the south. The people along the gulf coast know how to handle a hurricane, they know when to evacuate & they know when (most of the time anyway) that they can ride it out in their homes.

3rd, like the other poster said. NYC is our financial center & effects could be felt worldwide in short order depending on how long we are down. If a bank holiday is declared, then the effects are going to be felt nationwide, even in the south.

I do think we have seen the end of the series of events leading up to a major one especially before the elections. I think they might have something else major planned.
