Aid was heading for Japan the first day the quake hit there. Meanwhile, in the US, ZERO. US needs to end all foreign financial support and see how long they last. Most of these nations would go back to the stone age. |

While I understand and appreciate the spirit of your message, it's just not practical to expect anyone to help us. Perhaps if we requested help and it was denied, that's one thing. As a young student growing up, I needed help from time to time from my mother. She had plenty of money and I had none. So every few weeks or so I'd call her up and say "Mom, I need help". But the flow of "financial aid" always went in one direction; from the have (her) to the have not (me). Mom never needed my financial help. Still doesn't. Though I help her in other ways. We help other countries in need because we can. Expecting something in return defeats the purpose of it. |

Don't you see her ability to print fake dollars and facilitate the war powers is the only thing keeping her on life support and averting her inevitable collapse. |

But, saving the best for last, china has allowed us to skip a month on our debt interest payments although the amount deferred has been added to the principle! |

MarkinAZ User ID: 20006444 United States 10/30/2012 03:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | During Katrina Bush administration was offered money from several other countries and it was flatly and rather rudely refused. Considering the BILLIONS Americans have always given to other countries - both friend and foe - to help during natural disasters, etc., there is NOTHING wrong with graciously accepting offers of help. I would not go so far as to open our boarders to allow an influx of any one nation into the US - just out of fear that among the "workers" there could be concealed terrorists that once inside the US might do all kinds of damage. And I certainly don't want any (more) Russian or Chinese troops on US soil. The UK, France, Germany, etc., would be okay. But NOT the Russians or Chinese - that would be madness to allow thousands of them to flood into the US under the guise of helping to rebuild. We have PLENTY of our own countrymen and women who are unemployed and who would be THRILLED to work, given even a slight opportunity. Employ American FIRST! This disaster (horrible as it has been) is going to be a huge stimulus to the US Economy as untold billions are going to be pumped into the economy for rebuilding everything from infrastructure to cars being replaced, homes, furniture, clothing being replaced, offices, business equipment, desks, chairs, computers, etc., and the list goes on and on. The insurance claims will be processed quickly as companies don't want to appear to be screwing owners after they've lived thru this kind of a disaster. All those 80 homes burned to the ground in Queens - each one of them - no matter how modest - were worth in the low 100's of thousands because of their proximity to NYC. They will be rebuilt. Probably on stilts this time round, but they will be rebuilt. Also the city of NY should consider hiring the Dutch Architects and planners who designed the gates and locks that keep Amsterdam safe from such surges, and flooding - even though that city is actually BELOW sea level! Such an installation might cost 10 billion or more, but the savings in preventing flooding and surges such as this one would MORE than offset the cost involved. |

Even if we had money we wouldn't be handing it to those asholes. Do you really expect countries like Spain and Greece are going to pony up the cash to help those fucks after what they did? Think about it, they'd have to borrow the aid money from those Wall Street fucks to make the donation to those Wall Street fucks. Does that make sense to you? |
