A BIG FAT ZERO!!!

Its getting old with you trolls making the U.S seem as if we are in dire need. Who cares if money is not being given, or no help is being offered. As a U.S citizen, I don't expect no handouts whatsoever. We are a declining superpower, that said, we can still help ourselves. This is not a huge disaster. Nor is it something we need aid for. Our allies should laugh at people such as yourself for these bs remarks.
When we help other nations it comes at a price. Sure to our eyes (thanks to the media) we make ourselves look as if we're these humanitarian gods. In reality, we expect those nations we help, to allow us to place bases on their land or become subject to U.S interests. When there actually is a huge disaster that places us on our knees, other nations will come running to help. Why? Without the U.S we go back to the middle ages. Even though many countries see us as a bully they know they need us at the end of the day. Not all U.S citizens are pathetic. Some of us if not most of us want out of foreign countries. We want the aid to stop. Take care of ours here at home first, then we can help the rest of the world. If they need it.
While I'm at it, if our government got out of other countries problems, maybe they will feel sympathy towards us. Until then, they will ridicule and criticize our governments every move. We make ourselves look bad. So why should we ask or expect anything from any other country?

America 'Lends' $$ in aid to other countries. The same as the UK does.

i realize you are a fucking brit and this is tough for you but the american citizen doesn't LEND aid we GIVE IT wherever it is needed.

This may have already been said (haven't got time to read all 7 pages) but you will find that with Katrina and probably Sandy. Our country, plus Australia and many others offered emergency response teams and manpower to help. The offer was gracefully turned down as you have enough manpower etc. to do it yourself.

Some of us only have the manual rather than monetary power to help.

Canada is helping with getting power back on for the Hurricane Sandy damage. Canada has traditionally been your greatest ally. However, you Americans seem to think Israel is. Bah. The jews only use America for their own gain.

Victim mentality? Geez no one is gloating. Just about everyone I know was watching and worrying about the East Coast yesterday. We were all hoping it wouldn't turn out too badly for you all. Not everyone in the world is bitter and twisted.

in my opinion canada is a better friend of israel than the us is since the election of obama, and for that i thank you, but as for your being a friend to the united states, i find that about as valuable as friendship with the uk or australia.

We maintain a huge part of North America's security, a part of NORAD and share one of the world's largest borders. It's much more valuable than any oversea's relationship and has been a very successful relationships.
