Rats can carry transferable diseases and bacteria like Hontavirus form their feces, however there are three kinds of plagues and we have a cure for all of them. Bubonic plague is the one you're thinking of which is associated with Black Death. In fact , that plague is in Colorado right now, and it's carried by fleas, whose primary host is the prairie dog. I don't know about a plague in New York City though. They're doing a pretty good job pumping the water out of the subways, the news says it will be operating soon but right now it's only limited. |
