Making this all about Obama while completely avoiding all of the other aspects and implications as well as all of the other parties involved here would be a monumental mistake.

Obama was just a useful idiot, and his Muslim background and sympathy for the Muslim world (mostly contrived) was fully and easily exploited.

You have no idea how much greater this is than just Obama, if you did... He would seem almost irrelevant, or at most a minor component in it.
