Iran is a different story, even if it have no missiles that can reach Israel, or that if it's missile launching capabilities get wiped out during the attack. it can order huzbollah to shower israeliens with all kind of close-mid range missiles like what happened in 2006 war. No one in this earth want to live in a place where you can expect a missile hitting your roof anytime... they have to finish Syria first, cut supplies from Hezbollah then deal with it (2006 war showed the whole world that huzbollah cannot be wiped out, it has to be made weaker for another attempt). and all of this get's done, they will wipe the shit out of Iran! |

For some reason I can't explain, I have a feeling those Iranians actually have something up their sleeves the Israelis have not imagined. Wouldn't it be funny if armageddon ended the exact opposite way of how we expected? Nah, I think that's just real life, nothing is ever as it seems, this can't be good for those countries citizens though, may they stay safe while their leaders dangle their balls |

IF Hussein in reelected Israel won't attack Iran ! I have a lot of confidence in the IDF's military capabilities but there is no way they could mount a successful attack on Iran and defend Israel from Hezbollah, Hamas and EGYPT at the same time ! Egypt is a game changer, if it enters the game, Israel will have to fight a war on three fronts...and we have to remember that no matter how much military hardware they may have, it's still a state smaller than New Jersey ! |

Quoting: DPS we still wait for the green light from obamba. all we need is clean airspace above iraq and saudi Dude don't get me wrong, I support Israel 100% and IF they would accept me I would join the IDF tomorrow ! You have to be realistic here, yes you may destroy Iran's nuke facilities with a massive airstrike and yes I believe the IDF can cripple Hamas and Hezbollah if their leash is taken off (unlike 2006) ! But what do you do if Egypt decides to attack ? Egypt has hundreds of US made Abrams tanks and dozens of F16s and attack helicopters ! That is a lot of American hardware going against the IDF, we're not talking about Hamas grunts with Ak-47s here man...we're talking a very well equipped, large army storming Israel's border ! That is my biggest concern ! |

That day, President Nixon ordered the commencement of Operation Nickel Grass, an American airlift to replace all of Israel's material losses.[262] Anecdotal evidence suggests that Kissinger told Sadat that the reason for the U.S. airlift was that the Israelis were close to "going nuclear."[259] European countries refused to allow US airplanes carrying supplies for Israel to refuel at their bases, fearing an Arab oil embargo, with the exception of Portugal and the Netherlands. Portugal permitted the United States to use a leased base in Azores,[263] and the defence minister of the Netherlands, apparently acting without consulting his cabinet colleagues, secretly authorised the use of Dutch airfields.[264] ahahah you funny ![]() |
