I celebrate halloween. I respect your right to oppose it, but I see no harm in it.

I highly doubt God would be angry at me for taking my kids trick or treating.

AS a good christian would you have an avatar of a sexually charged hot woman?

You know the answer.

Its a painting..
And for various reasons it is the one I picked
I would NEVER use an avatar of a real photo with any sexual innuendos
Sexually charged is how YOU percieve her..

I have always disliked Halloween..even when I was a kid..and have never dressed up as any of that..EVER..out of personal choice..I only went once..and I couldnt bring myself to dress like that..so I dressed like an ancient greek muse..and stuck out like a sore thumb among the demons ghouls and witches..lol..

First and last time for me..lol

Neither Christmas or Easter.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26709357

I dont celebrate them as a consumeristic orgy..
To me and others they have special religious significance..especially Easter

that they were placed on pagan holidays is not uncommon..just as in the Reconquista Christian churches were built on top of Mosques..its not the date that matters..it is what is being conmemorated in my opinion..

Re: As Christians should you be celebrating Halloween*question mark*
As Christians, should we be celebrating holidays at all? The mass of Christ is the roman Feast of Saturn. Easter? A pagan fertility ritual.

Do we celebrate St Valentine, marrying people against the will of the Roman empire? Nah, we just give hearts and chocolate.

Do we remember that St Patrick brought Christianity to the island of Ireland? Nah, he just ran off the snakes. Ain't that lucky?

Who here celebrates Michaelmas on Sept 29th? It's the day of the Exchequer! The ONLY reason I know it is because it's my wedding anniversary.

All this should mean somewhere between jack and squat to a practicing Christian. So are we having a Halloween party tonight? You betchya. I'm not celebrating Samhain tonight anymore than I am the Feast of Saturn on Dec 25th.

Oh, and this: Candy.

Re: As Christians should you be celebrating Halloween*question mark*
There is in my opinion NOTHING average about being Christian..nothing at all..and there shouldnt be

Being Christian is a privilege that was paid for dearly by Christ and all those that followed that drenched this earth with their blood spilled for Christ and the Christian cause

there was nothing average about them

When they faced the lions and wild beasta that were to eat them and their families alive..and sang hymns and prayed..that was not average

when they preferred death..at the stake..or impalled or..all the ways they have been killed in order to be true to their faith..that was not average

Being Christian is a choice..NOT imposed

but it requires a way of life..

We are to be noticed..that there is NOTHING average about us

because we are Christians..we represent Him

and we are the forefront of His Kingdom till His Kingdsom is manifest

If you are Catholic, you are not Christian.
You pray to Saints(mere men), not God, you bow and pray to Statues(idols). Then there are about 100 more on the list after these two.

All of which are forbidden of Christians, but you balk at "Halloween"?

Talk about choking on a gnat and swallowing a Camel!!!!!

It's not really a celebration, it's just letting kids have fun dressing up and getting candy...like the other kids.
As for adults, NO, they should not celebrate Halloween, they're old enough to know what it's about and should avoid the dark side...just concentrate on the junk food.

The three children in Fatima..the eldest barely 9 y.o..they prayed EVERY DAY..alone in the fields..among the olive trees..they prayed the Rosary..not imposed by parents..they were on their own with the sheep..they could have preferred to go play..they had been WORKING all day ..but instead they ate and prayed the Rosary

AND THIS BEFORE THE APPARITIONS OF THE BLESSED MOTHER..or alleged apparitions if you please

Would they dress up as demons..witches..ghouls..vampires..

you know the answer to that one too

we celebrate Halloween to show we have no fear of concepts...live in superstition and fear if you wish,we of the spirit have no fear and have no concepts such as gods or devils to harm or scare us...soultards miss the symbolism of Halloween because of duality thinking processes from a calcified pineal gland dividing their brain> a house divided cannot stand< translation> a brain divided cannot reason therefore thinks as a beast....soultards miss the bible as a book of symbolism and metaphors...that goes for the koran also and any other so called 'holy' book...they are called holy books because they are full of holes like cheese and they bring out the rats/beasts to feed instead of us all enjoying the wine that our spirit brings to our arks to fill us...wake up soultards and remember we are all co-creator spirit within that existed before the concepts we created...we are to follow our spirit within and not the creation...if we dont see the mistranslations of the religious texts in first person spirit, we will never be free of those concepts that lead away from our shared spirit within...hf..peace and love be unto all and the awaking of spirit...

How unfortunate for some rulers when men, women, and children continue to think... Keep repeating the lies loud enough and long enough and just maybe the people will start to believe the lies again and good luck with that...finding your energy open until mars becomes raging aries...
