They actually have Gingrich's clip where he says that about the emails. The Daily Caller is not going to praise Gingrich and then trash him. Also, Gingrich has said he cannot say 100% that there ARE emails but the person who told him is reliable so he believes it. He said he believes they will be released on Wed. or Thurs. Stevens was a CIA operative and his administration was running guns not only to the Libyans to take out Qaddafi but through Turkey to the "Free Syrian Army" aka the Muslim Brotherhood.
